    Default what ya doing for mothers day

    i am going to my mothers today going to stay all night with her
    so one of her presents this year is me lol
    and i got her this nice oval picture frame
    her mom passed away 2 years ago in one of the picture slots i have a picture of her and her mom then my mom has 4 children but 2 special favorite children
    in the 2nd slot is a pic of my mom and my brother and the 3rd slot is empty
    so she can put a picture of her and my other sister in it
    also she told me she wants a few button up short sleeve cotton shirts
    if i see then today i will pick her up one

    i want to wish everyone a wonderful mothers day
    see you later tomorrow or monday

    It'll be a quiet one for me. My two sons live with their dad (for now) about 1500 miles away. I'll talk to them by phone, I'm sure. I'll see them in about 3 weeks as I'll be visiting Texas for the high school graduation of the eldest. (He'll be moving to California with me this summer.)

    In the early afternoon, I'll make a phone call to my mom and all 4 of my sisters will be there. We'll do a 'pass the phone around' conversation... and my drawl will be back for a few minutes after I hang up. DH says the only time he hears it is after I've been on the phone with the Texas family

    I'll think about how my mom, my grandma and my godmother are not here anymore. I have no one left to whom I might send flowers.

    ... then again, I AM a mom. And tributes have already arrived.

    My mom would rather not do mothers day - my dad passed away the week after, and it is a little hard time.

    however, my DD is coming home tomorrow morning for a couple days - she has been gone for 2 months. First time she has been out except for vacations. Monday, both 'children' will be here. I like that.

    DD and DH are grilling tomorrow.

    Me too, Maggie...
    both my parents are deceased, as well as all my grandparents.
    My daughter lives far away, but was here last week end, so we kinda celebrated last weekend. I will probably stay home and try to get over this upper respiratory thing...ack...sleep late, have a latte', and enjoy the day and be lazy otherwise!

    for me.... all i know is my dad is bringing over my Gram for an hour or so in the afternoon, (she 87) to sit in the back yard (it's the lil things in life these days.)

    I'll give my mom a call. I really miss spending Mom's day with her (she moved to AZ 4 yrs ago.)

    as for the rest of the day.... or what i get or dont get from Dh or the kids (a card if i'm lucky) ..... well - that's another story... i dont recall last year, but i bet i was depressed.... it's rarely a good day for me.

    We're taking food over to my m-i-l's. My daughter is over there now, and we'll pick her up tomorrow. My hubby bought both me and his Mom roses. Hers are red and mine are the color of sunset. So beautiful. My Mother no longer speaks to me, so that's a wash. So, we will honor my hubby's mom while she is still here and hopefully have a nice day.

    My sister and I are taking our mom out to brakfast...with presents and flowers.....
    then off to mom-in-law for dinner and more presents and flowers......

    hello everyone
    you know i am losing my mind
    how in the world could i have forgot
    my moms mom has not been dead for 2 years
    we buried her last mothers day !
    i totally forgot to i was at my moms last night and she started crying
    and asked me if i remember what we was doing that time last year :(
    i am really glad i spent the might with her to help take her mind off it
