| Saw a great flick today (actually 2x, as hubby decided to watch it after I cunningly left the tv on when the replay began) called Holes, based on a kids book. Fabulous movie, very fairytale-ish, but not a fairytale, plus a bit of hard reality. The beginning is quite lighthearted, but it soon morphs into a story with meaning, and by the end the charm has been added to with, well, let's just say that you'll be happy and satisfied and feeling just a little bit melancholic. Here's the Flick Filospher's review. Dryad, really hoping she got the url part right |

| Holes was a great movie! Put out by Disney, of course. It's one of DD's favorites. We read the book after the movie (which is unusual, because usually we read the book first.) I held pretty close to the book. All the kids out in the U.S. read the book long before the movie came out. DD had a hard time getting it at the school library. She was on a long waiting list. Teri |

| My son and I both liked the movie Holes. I like the kid that starred in it, Shia LaBeouf. He seems well grounded. I also liked him in the movie The Battle Of Shaker Heights. |

| I agree, great movie! Channel surfing I came across it a few times and thought it would be interesting and boy was I right. It is not your typical disney kids movie, very entertaining.
