    Default September Month-Long Challenge

I decided that the 100 day challenge is not for me at this point in time, but a month-long challenge would work really well.

So, beginning Monday I'm starting a challenge. My personal challenge is to eat nothing but low carb for the entire month, and to be more aware of portion size.

Anyone out there is welcome to join me in this challenge. Of course, your personal challenge may be quite different from mine, but together we can help keep each other in focus and on track.

Count me in! I lost 35 lbs. 4 years ago (yes, 4 YEARS ago) and I've gradually packed it back on so....here I am! I would like to set 3 goals for the entire month of September:

    1. Drink 1 gallon of water per day.
    2. Eat on plan each day.
    3. Exercise 3 days per week.

I am looking forward to this challenge - I'm better with short term challenges rather than long term ones.....

I think I'm up for a month long challenge. If its too long I would surely mess it up.
I already monitor my portions so I will continue with that and also add:

    1. Eat only low carb (25g or less a day)
    2. Hit the treadmill at least every other day.
    3. Absolutely no eating after 6pm.

#2 will be the hardest for me. After a 10 hour day at work I always try to get out of the exercise thing, but I need to make this one a priority.

    Hello.
I think I can handle a short term challenge like this, so count me in.
    My goals are:
    1. Eat LC all month.
    2. Walk at least 5 days a week.
    3. Use my new ab roller daily.
    4. At least 5 minutes of meditation a day (gotta start small on this one.)

Good morning, all, and welcome to the September Challenge!

I got to sleep late this morning, and started my day with the old standby OMM, made with half flaxseed meal and half almond meal, and I put a tiny bit of sf blackberry preserves on top. And this morning we're having regular coffee instead of decaf.

No food plans for the rest of the day. One meal might be as simple as sausage and eggs. Or maybe bacon, if I remember to take some out of the freezer!

Good morning!! It's Day #2. While I stayed low carb, I did not get my exercising started. I'm battling some depression and just didn't feel like it, though I know I would have felt better.

    How is everyone else doing???

Day 2, and busy! And tomorrow will be worse! Didn't feel like eating breakfast, actually felt nauseated, and had a light lunch. Now I'm ravenous. Can't wait to get home for supper!

I seemed to haved missed day 1, wasn't feeling well, can't say I'm much better today. I've managed to stick to eating LC but I haven't gotten to the treadmill as of yet. But I can honestly say that's because I just don't feel up to it. Hopefully tomorrow is a much better day, for now I am going back to the couch.

Day 3. Another breakfastless day. Overslept! Rushed to work with only a cup of decaf.

Lunch was smoked sausage and brisket and a roma tomato. Was still hungry, so I grabbed an Atkins bar, which I seldom eat. Just needed something else that would fit in my purse to bring back to work. Should have grabbed a string cheese instead!

Tonight will be eggs in one form or another. Probably with bacon!

I'm feeling a little better today, I've stayed only with LC and under my 25 a day goal. I am just about to hit the treadmill, hopefully I'm up to that, and so far haven't eaten anything past the 6 o'clock hour. I did manage to walk today at work on my breaks, it's so hot outside here that is amazing that I got though that. I try to do this everyday just in case I don't get any exercise after I get home.

QueenMama, I don't know how you can go without breakfast. Ever since my LC journey began I have found that if I skip that, then I just struggle all day being hungry. I can skip lunch without any problems but just never breakfast.

Nicola, I don't usually skip breakfast, but some mornings when I'm feeling a bit woozy, I just can't eat. I do keep some protein powder at the office, so if I need something, I can shake up a quick drink.

Yesterday wasn't too bad. I did decide to add some yogurt to my diet. I found greek yogurt at WalMart, first time I've ever seen it there, so I bought some, and I'm delighted with it. I want to keep my intestinal flora in good working order, so I'll try to have a bit of yogurt every day. Plain, without a lot of stuff added.

QueenMama, at least you have something there if you need it.

I had a day just about like yesterday. I actually ate the same, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I need to start changing that. But leftovers are so easy, just pop in the micro it's done. I don't know if I will make the treadmill tonight. But that's OK because I have a vacation day tomorrow so I can hit it first thing in the morning.
