Had another good day today. Good exercise this morning. Got some shopping done today. Put up the Tree. Had my final HOA meeting as a Board Member... good to let go of those reins after 5 yrs... though I still think I may be continuing the Web Work and mass emails to the homeowners... Not sure if anyone knows how to do all of that.... but sure someone could figure it out.

Today is 40 days into my new WOE, and while sometimes it's hard seeing those pizza commercials or thinking of a nice bowl of macNcheese... but i can't recall ever sneaking something I should not be eating. And DH has been munching on Chips and Salsa A LOT. Sometimes I get tired of eating salads, or preparing vegetables... but just knowing that I have to go one day at a time.... not like,
Holy Crap.... I'm never going to have _____ again

But it wont be that way. Once I get to a good weight, where i am comfortable, I'll be able to have those foods, just in moderation, and NOT daily -- but for special occasions.... And just by making wise choices.

Uggg - it's been a long almost 2 days fighting with DH's laptop... finally got the restore done and now a bizzilion updates.

went to the sushi place again tonight - didnt do as well as last time, but still not 'gross' ... I just had to have a pot sticker. Ate mostly Shrimp and scallops, and a small salad.

Barely getting in exercise, but DH got the part for the bike today, so it's all put back together. Can get back at some cardio tomorrow.

I'll write more tomorrow when i have more time.

still sitting at 175.5 -- but that's OK. at least it's not higher.

Busy few days... didnt get in here for more than a coupla minutes.

Scale was up a tad this morning, but to be expected... me and the kid ordered a pizza yesterday. too COLD to go out and I just didnt wanna cook. we get extra thin crust, with pepperoni and fresh tomato. I had 3 bites of the crust. But ya figure -- I ate A LOT of cheese. so the retention is expected.

Today I will eat clean and drink LOTS of water... should be right as rain in a few days.

I always procrastinate in making DR apts. my last one, for checking my Thyroid levels was in April or May, can't recall. I should have gone in in Oct when i got back home... but didn't. I have an apt on Wed for a check up and blood work. I was hoping they'd send me the script to get blood work a head of time...but guess I will do that on Wed too, then just call for the results. All in all, my thyroid has been feeling pretty good, so hopefully I wont have to change my prescription again. starting about a yr ago, i was feeling a tightness, like someone putting pressure on my neck/throat ... so i knew it was a thyroid issue and was then going in about every 6 wks for a blood draw.

The arctic weather has arrived. We did not get the snow that the weather liars said we were gonna get. Would have liked to try out the new snow blower. we probably got less than an inch total... they were saying we could have gotten up to 6". zip nadda nothing, again. I'd rather have the snow than this COLD and wind.

Can't think of much else. I have to finish up my Christmas shopping... i hate shopping at stores, so i guess i'd better hit the 'on line stores' and get it all finished.

I did 45 minutes / 11 miles on the bike this morning. Bacon and eggs for breakfast.
Did a bit of cleaning, after i finished cooking up a pound of bacon.

[I love sudoku puzzles] Did 2 'Very Challenging' puzzles. Browsed the gardening forums

Big salad for lunch [Mixed greens, chicken, ham, HB egg, cottage cheese, sunflower nuts and ranch dressing.]

    some computer work.

Printed our Christmas Card labels... Helped DH do the cards.

Dinner was a big protein shake, as i couldnt find anything that 'did it for me' for dinner. Need to grocery shop tomorrow, and i also have to go to the Post Office.

A little light on the water today... maybe 3) 24oz glasses.

Terese - Good going on the exercise and finishing up all those pesky chores. Even here in North Carolina the arctic weather has arrived.

been a very BUSY few days here.... I tried to eat my best... but i finally caved ... we've been getting food item gifts for the holidays.... some homemade pumpkin bread -- it was baked in a mason jar, so there wasn't a lot of it. DH and I ate half of it, so I had a quarter of it.

Then DH got a tray of a variety of choc covered dried fruit.... had a lil bit of that last night, but i can tell ya, with in 30 min i had a stomach ache and it does nasty stuff to your 'innerds'.

The other day i made a huge pot roast with LC gravy .... but i had some mashed potatoes today.

Tomorrow is our Holiday get together at my Uncles house.... I baked a huge LC cheesecake, I told my Aunt that i'm "sugar free" again -- they know i did LC a long time ago...but I told her "I will deal with whatever the meal is" ... she does make the BEST baked yam casserole. Maybe it will be Meat and cheese cake... though i am bringing 3 bottles of wine... one is an Ice Wine... which is very sweet.
So, tomorrow will not be a good LC day either...

I'll be back on the wagon full force on Monday for sure.

I probably will not weigh for a week.... and SO glad I did my blood draw last week and not this coming....

    **edited to add....

I did not crave any of those food items... i just ate them. the "Bread" was wonderful... the rest I could have done without.

After the long weekend... i'm back on the wagon ... or will be, so far, i've exercised [8 miles | 31 min on the Bike]
and i'm working on my protein shake, which is LC.

Yesterday was a good day... though i did have a few crackers, a very small 'french bread' for a beef sandwich and 2 small sugar cookies... but had way too much wine.

so -- 2 days of pretty much "off the wagon" hopefully did not do too much damage... maybe i'll weigh-in before Friday to see where I am.

Christmas Eve we will be having our little family dinner with the kids, their girlfriends and the MIL. and since I am cooking... I'll do OK.

I had a gift card for a SARA LEE store, and had my son run out and get a sugar free cheese cake... per serving is 26 carbs!!
Maybe i'll have some but not eat the crust - which is probably graham cracker.

    Thanks for the good wishes....

This week was a blurrrr. Looks like Monday was a good day, Tuesday was busy with taking our son to an Art School -- hopefully he will be accepted. Wednesday my Email and Facebook account were hacked into and everyone was sent a mssg 'from me' saying i was in London... blah blah blah and needed money.... Spent the day cleaning up that mess. I dont even remember Thursday.

OH son #2 brought home a 3 months old kitten Monday night....

Friday - Christmas Eve, we had our 'dinner' - busy cooking. DH helped A LOT. Saturday... Shoveled snow and relaxed A LOT. Sunday - today, shoveled snow and relaxed a lot. Bears beat the Jets, YAY but then NYG lost/choked in GreenBay.

Have to grocery shop tomorrow... getting tired of ham. So i should be back on the exercise 'wagon' again.

OH... weight is still the same, but i'm fine with that, since obviously in the past week, I have not been eating clean every single day.

Terese - sounds like you've had a pretty hectic week. I love ham but have a low tolerance for too many days of leftovers. This is the first Christmas in 10 years I didn't have Honey baked ham for dinner. Enjoy the Kitten.

Good Morning -- and Happy new Year!

I did as well as expected last night. went to friends house - I drank an entire bottle of white wine -- then LOTS of water. [i was the designated driver, though we only live 3 blocks away] and Of course there was a lot of snacks... i munched mostly on carrots and ranch dressing and a few bites of spinach dip with sour dough bread pieces. I did have a few bite sized cookies.... maybe 5.

the main 'meal' was Italian Beef... i took a small pile of the beef sans the bun, and a med. scoop of home made cole slaw.

I have not weighed in at least a few weeks... but when i was trying to find something to wear... the one jeans i knew would fit - didnt.
baggy as all get-up. They were snug last summer. Tried another pair... 12's ... got them on, but a bit too tight still. Tried another pair of 14s ... way too big. put those away in the closet... rummaged around a bit more, looking for anything that would fit right... found a Pair of 12 i bought last summer [2009] - never tired them on before buying... the were quite snugg in the thighs - but the waist fit... I dont even think i wore them in 2010 as they were too tight.... they fit wonderfully!! and were not even snug in the legs anymore. YAY.

Today will NOT be a good day to try and weigh, after what i ate last night and that bottle of wine. Maybe Sunday or Monday -- or both.

I love shopping in my closet too. Unfortunately, a while back before atkins, I cleared alot out. Had one bag to go to the thrift store, took out some things that fit. Went to Salvation army and picked up a few pants, and those are starting to be too loose. I guess I will have to stop there again. I refuse to pay retail til I am in maintenance, and don't have to keep changing sizes.
