    Default Inara, slightly discouraged noob

Hi. I'm 35. I've been low-carb for two weeks and I'm really frustrated today.

The whole change to low-carb started off great: high-energy & good attitude. But for the last few days I'm sluggish and have to psych myself up for my work outs. And I'm cranky.

I've been counting on cumulative trace carbs to be sufficient (sour cream, cheddar cheese, heavy cream in decaf coffee). I think I messed up. I've been in ketosis for almost two weeks, and this morning the stick came up negative. Since I didn't change what I'm eating, I'm wondering if my body is staging a revolt?

    I'm having some broccoli now.

I think part of my crankiness comes from impatience. I know it's childish, but there it is.

    Inara,

what is your daily diet like?
    how is your water intake?

sometimes us gals are "cursed" with those monthly hormonal swings -- when all just is not right with the world.

I know it can be so hard to hang in there when you are not feeling just right.

It's been a few days since you posted... are you feeling any better??
