    Default Flavoured water in induction

    Hi all,

I have a question, I started induction on Sunday (quit smoking on Fathers Day and the carb creep set in) anyways I have been drinking copious amounts of flavoured water and it just hit me, althought the label says no carbs it is flavoured with sucralose so there musy be carbs right....so I should just say these past 2 and a half days haven't been induction following...what do you think? Ugh what a drag.

There used to be a thread on one of the forums discussing Sucralose. I believe the liquid form of sucralose that is most likely used in your water is darn close to zero carbs. The powdered variety like Splenda has about 0.5 to 1 gram carbs per teaspoon because of the bulking agent it. I might add a couple of carbs into your count to be on the safe side but I really wouldn't sweat it.

That being said even sucralose sweeteners have been known to cause some peoples weight loss to stall. If you find you are not losing weight one of the 1st things I would cut out are the flavored waters.

Thanks for the reply Libby! Perhaps I will just drink half as much of them and add a few carbs into my count and see what happens like you said.

    Thanks again!

Sucralose can cause me to bloat and retain water. I also have an issue with seltzer water.
