I'll start with my dog sophie. she will be 9 in October. When the Eastern part of North carolina was devastated by the flood of 99 caused by hurricane Floyd's arrival right after Hurricane Dennis. Tens of thousand of pets were found to be homeless. Massive efforts to place these found animals were undertaken. Dogs and cats were sent all over North Carolina to aid in their adoption. My niece chose sophie from one adoption fair. Unfortunately she was living with her dad in an apartment that didn't allow dogs over 30 pounds which sophie reached before she was 4 months old. My sister agreed to give the dog a home. a decision that was short-lived when her landlord came by and saw sophie. My sister already had 2 cats and the landlord wanted no part of the destruction a puppy can accomplish. So I agreed to hold sophie until, my sister and her fiancee could find a new place that accepted pets. 6 weeks later they announced they weren't going to move after all and they would need to take sophie to the pound. Over my dead body! I smelled a setup but after 6 weeks of living with sophie I was in love.
There are more photos in the photo section. but here's one I haven't posted yet. could you take that expectant little face to the pound?
