I'm on day three, and am wondering what to do if I eat out. The only things I can usually eat out is eggs or at Bob Evans they have a broiled chicken with garlic butter. Yum! Has anyone else found items that work for low carb eating???![]()

I find eating out very easy.... some restaurants are tougher than others...if all fails -- Chicken Caesar Salad is a great stand-by... sans the croutons.
Many restaurants will let you substitute too... veggies instead of potato.
Dont let them put a basket of rolls/bread on the table.... that is too tempting -- especially since you are still pretty new on the WOE [way of eating] -- drink Ice Water instead of a beverage... and no dessert. even if they have a sugar free option... it's still too tempting.
Just think meat and veggies or salad or both.
I dont eat Bob Evans a lot... but did when i was in FLA last year... i found them too 'starchy'
avoid Italian places too, until you get the hang of eating out.
Good luck ...

Thanks Terese. I do try to order two watery veggies.... but it's rough if they don't have green beans or something on the menu. I'm normally eating with a carb eater, so I have to deal with rolls or pumpkin bread being on the table. I can really be hard looking at all those carbs being eaten.
a lot of restaurants offer salads or grilled chicken or steak, and if you go fast food and don't want a salad get a grilled chicken sandwich and take the bread off or some places are even offering low carb such as a burger/chicken wrapped in lettuce.
Any Steakhouse will usually do....
