    Default Personal projects

I thought I might start a new thread, I have so many personal projects that I want to tackle, and thought by writing them down, I may actually accomplish some of them. One that I have actually made headway is neckwarmers, actually a knitted cowl, that you can pull up over head, really very easy to do. I have made 3 so far as homemade presents, and DH wants me to buy some camoflauge yarn and make him one for hunting. Though I fear the season may be done with by the time I get his done. Oh well there is always next year. I would love to get into some wood working. I picked up a basket at a yard sale, that is made of wood, and collapses, Looks relatively easy to do, but I do need a jig saw to cut through .

Hoping to get a laptop in the New Year I have a telescope, with a digital eyepiece, , would love to take some astronomy photos, plus I do hand colored photos, and have software for creating different effects on photos.

Sounds like you have lots of fun projects and hobbies! Are the neck warmers you knit like cowls or wimples? I love those things and wear the cowl type when it's super cold. They are the perfect solution for someone like me who hates wearing hats.

I'm keeping busy with trying to get the house up to scratch to put it on the market in a month or two. I have about 3 weeks worth of 10 minute jobs to get done. I'm also trying to compile "cookbooks" for my kids. They've all been after me for recipes so I started working on personalized books for each of the three of them. Other than that I'm slowly culling and packing, kind of in a holding pattern for our move later on. Fun thread!

The neckwarmers were cowls. Just picked up some woodsy yarn at walmart for a cowl for DH for hunting. Made him a huge poncho one year, which he wore as part of a blind, Kept him warm, and camouflaged. One ranger kept walking around trying to find him, because of his orange ties, but couldn't. I usually try and make one thing for every one at Christmas,
