hello, im still having trouble with water retention, and although I had read my dandr, last night I was re-reading it and read "at the top of the no-no list for medications are diurectics" WOW, now I have been seeing the same dr. for 2 years for obesity, and having major major water retention problems, and even though I am consuming my weight in ounces daily, it is not budging. My doctor had me on diurectics, and even though she is "completely aware" of the dandr, increased my dosage, with no results. So anyway, I read that L-taurine was the way to go for diurectics (in dandr), and was wondering if anyone has tried it and does it work???? thanks in advance for any info

I don't know anything about l-taurine, but please be very careful.

Since you are already on a diuretic medication, don't add anything that might have a diurectic affect without your doctor's approval. You could cause a dangerous electrolite inbalance.

I do know to talk to the dr. first, and to edit my first post on this, when I said I am consuming my weight in ounces, I meant water . Re-reading that it sounded like i was eating that much lol. I was just curious if anyone had tried this before I ask the dr. as I am quite tired of getting medicated for each and every symptom without any results. Thinking seriously of seeking a different m.d.'s advice, I dont think I can take another course of meridia, etc.
    Thanks again!!!
