Hi all!
First, I am thankful I found the forum and have a lot of reading to do to learn more...
I am pretty new to low-carb and looking for help.
Trying to make this short:
1/ I am gluten/dairy/corn-free for health reasons.
2/ last year I went completely grain-free, to improve digestion, and it worked well. but after a while noticed I tended to overdo fruits/nuts to compensate...resulted in a weight gain, about 7 lbs and hungry all the time
3/ so I researched a little and discovered low-carb (Gary Taubes, Atkins...)
4/ so it's been 2 months I am very low-carb, so far with no results regarding weight/inches whatsoever. I must say I did cut the carbs progressively so I guess maybe it's not a full 2months induction.
On the bright side the hunger/cravings have improved a lot, and since surviving the first week I feel good. I am doing low-carb (under 20 net grams/day), high fat (about 70% cals). Most of the time eating 3 meals a day/no snacking and feeling good.
I can't figure out why I am not losing/what is going on?
I also must mention I am not overweight (currently 132lbs, at 5feet 8.5inches tall), I just want to lose part of what I gained (lbs or inches, I don't really care) because I feel uncomfortable with the extra pounds...
So if anybody has ideas, I'm listening!!
Thanks a lot.
Sophie
