My post in the vet's thread this morning:

Quote:
Quick stop by for me this morning. I had to take Kass back to the vet this morning. The little darlin' pulled one of her sutures out yesterday evening after I got her home. After her *pain med* wore off last evening, she left the other sutures alone; so much for the med making her sleepy! NOT!!
But, to be on the safe side, I called the vet's office this morning and told them about the 2-3 mm wound dehiscence and they said to bring her back in for a staple or two. Sooooo...we're back home all *stapled shut*, and Kass is a little mad at her mama right now! Oh well, I'm willing to bet when lunch time rolls around, I can win her back over with a tasty morsel!
The vet tech said that cats will usually leave the staples alone; let's hope this is true. So far, Kass has only *licked* at them...no pulling or chewing!
Oye!! Why do our furkids act like our real kids sometimes...yanno...getting a good case of *selective deafness* and not listening to mama or daddy?!! LOL!!!
Oh, the little darlins'...gotta love 'em!

Hi Shelley...I can't believe how big your Kassie has grown! She is adorable. Poor baby...I'm sure the stitches/staples are bugging her. I hope she's on the mend and healing well.

Hey Vickie!
Kass says Thanks for the well wishes! I think she feels mucho better this morning...she bowed her back and fuzzed her tail up, and proceeded to do a *sneak attack* on my ankles when I walked down the hall this morning!

I could tell she really didn't feel good last night. I clicked off a few pics of her on the chair under the dining table; a favorite *hangout* spot for her.

L to R:
1. BIG yawn!
2. almost sleepy
3. being lazy
4. zoned out...not the Barry Sears way, either! LOL!

Aw, she looks a little out of it, but remarkably good, considering not only her surgery but an extra trip for staples.

She is such a beautiful cat, Shell and like all pix of her I've seen, those ones are adorable, too. Glad to hear she's perked up this morning and was back to attacking Mom's ankles. That's defintiely good news!

Glad Kassie is recovering fast! The one improvement I would make if i were creating cats is installing a shutdown switch. Like when Splenda sits at the bottom of the stairs and cries as if she's saying " are you never getting up" which really means "Feed me". usually she does this at 3:30 a.m. btw. That's when an off switch on a remote would be sooooooo useful. LOL

At some point I'd probably be willing to get her a fur-sib, but I'm not to sure DH is open to that suggestion....just yet, anyway! heh heh!
OK, I seriously cracked up on that comment..... DH wants Lexi to have a sib and you want Kassie to have one. There has to be one spouse in every household that seems to be the point of reason. One thing about it, Kassie is just so cute, I don't know how your DH could hold back.

What a difference a week can make...what was I thinking when I made that comment(about wanting a fur-sib for kass)???!!!

Uh....think I've changed my mind after Kassie's last little bratty act. The little darlin' has gotten under the bed in the guest bedroom, and while laying on her back, has kicked and scratched until she put a tear in the under lining of the box springs, and now she runs and *hides* up INTO the box springs!!! AARRGGHHH!!!
Mama and Daddy are NONE to happy with the baby for that little trick, let me tell you!!! Soooo...Kassie can't come into the guest room anymore unless she is in my lap(or DHs). Little did I know, she's done the same thing under the love seat, but she doesn't get in there. We covered that tear with some cloth tape, so I guess we'll need to take the bed apart, flip the box springs over and patch that as well. Always something!

So, ummm, that would be a NO on another furkin at this time! It appears Kass is giving her old mama all she can handle...hehe!

cat-munication over and out!

LOL@ Kassie! She's just trying to create more hiding places. If you have a bed skirt no one will ever know.

Boy, ya got that right! We pretty much *baby proofed* the house before Kass came to live with us, but guess what???...it wasn't enough!!!
Had to put MORE stuff outta her reach! LOL!

Thankfully that bed does have a bedskirt, but I will know there's a hole in it! hehe! I'm pretty sure it won't bother me that bad....after we get it patched, that is!

Today DH took the lid off of his bottle of cola for lunch, and guess who latched onto it? Yep...the Kass! She batted and swatted that little red bottle cap around for nearly an hour, non-stop. Again, I had to take pause and ask myself..."now why is it that I think I have to spend $$$$ on toys for this baby, when she likes the freebie stuff the best?" LOL...just a cat's way!

That Kassie girl is something else. I cannot believe she dug through that liner and got up into the foundation.
I'm sure her mom & dad don't think it's funny. She is some kitty.

Shell, she is the most photogenic cat.

sista...she did it, and I think she's proud of it!!! LOL!

Today's bratty act was jumping up onto the dvd player on top of the TV, then totally ignoring me when I told her to get down! Jeeesh!

She also jumped into the laundry basket this afternoon while I was trying to sort some laundry. Kinda hard to sort things with a wussy cat pouncing in and out of the basket!
Yeppers...I would say you are right...she's somethin' else!
