dog Ozzie's Place

Thanks Dixie, for creating this Furkid Forum, it's a great thing!

Shelley had a great idea to make threads for each of our furkids and then we can just put new stuff here.

I've often said how Ozzie is part-cat and I kid you not. He is a rescue who has hit the jackpot. Honestly, we think he was raised with cats around. He will jump up into our recliner, walk across the end table to get to the sofa in front of our window. He will then sit there perched on the back of the sofa watching out the window...just like a cat. Another kitty thing he does is want to lie in my lap while I'm on the computer. Tonight is no different and I snapped a pic.

I swear he is lying in my lap with eyes half open and he's snoring.

This boy is a mess...I tell ya!

PS: Notice the pj's Dix?

Well heck, it looks like Ozzie has his own journal now! Maybe you should link his journal under yours, Sus. He does sound like he's got some cat spirit in him...that's funny.

(And yes, I did notice the pj's! )

And you hate to get up when he's sacked out there, don't ya? He's got it made, man!

Ozzie looks as if he wouldn't take kindly to anyone asking him to move from the pillow-I love his expression.

Rob, I feel the same about your furkids. We've gotten to know our pets through the years pretty well.

Bren, I think Dix had a cute idea there with linking that up.

Katalina, I really believe Oz lived with cats before we rescued him. He has a personality more like a cat than dog. Of course, being poodle factors in there, too.

This picture was taken sometime back, but it's so cute. I posted another shot of this in the photo gallery. DS1 had some poptarts in his room and Oz found them. He stole a package and tried to hide behind the sofa, planning to eat them. He used to get into our snack basket and tear into stuff. He and Modie would do that together when Mo was alive. I love the poptart pictures. The other is of Oz and DS2 on graduation day. It was only about 20 days earlier that Modie died.

Dix, he SO looks like that when he knows he's busted. He's a hoot.

Katalina, Ozzie DOES have a lot of expression in his eyes. My sis said he is very aware of what happens around him. I think rescues are special animals.

Last night Ozzie acted like a cat all night long. DH worked double shift and I worked, so Oz slept all morning and afternoon. When bedtime came he walked all over the bed, would put his face in mine. Wanted under the covers for only a short time, back out. Geez, we didn't get much rest. He's outside with DH at the moment helping till a little garden spot up. I hope his little butt is worn out tonight. Shell, I do know what you go through with Kass.

Susie,
Your Ozzie is adorable. I love the Pop-tart pictures... I call Shiloh a junk food junkie. She will eat anything she can get her paws on even brocolli...Needless to say she keeps me on my toes... She just loves food. How much does Oz weigh??? Shiloh weighs 11 lbs...

Ozzie weigh around 7 pounds and stands 8.5 inches at his shoulder. He's a tiny toy poodle. Ozzie loves veggies and his favorite is raw carrots.

Here's a hilarious picture of Ozzie tailgating with us back in the fall for my birhtday at the boys' university. People would come by to see him because they were amazed that Oz just laid in the chair with his doggie hoodie on chillin' to the max.
