Vickie, that was a beautiful tribute to Misha; the pictures were adorable. It's obvious she brought huge amounts of joy into your life, as you no doubt did for her. I'm very glad you found each other.

Vickie, I'm sorry that you had to part with Misha. It's a painful loss, but time will eventually ease some of your pain. The tribute to your furbaby is really special, she was a beautiful cat. Thank you for sharing with us.

Hi Carolyn, someone sent me the Rainbow Bride story after Misha died. The image I found on line by doing a google image search for Rainbow Bridge. I changed the "He" and "him" to "she" and "her" when I did the layout so that it would fit for my female cat.

Our "old lady kitty," Poupon, is pictured here on the left, snuggling in a small cat bed with Jewels. They were snuggle buddies and frequently curled up together. Poupon passed away this morning. We knew she was having a tough time since having an episode last week, but it was still hard. We've had her for about 18 years now, and she was about 3 or so when we got her.

Poupon was named by my MIL, after the "Grey Poupon" mustard commercials. She was a very sweet kitty who loved to be petted, but not held. She'd come over to get some petting, purr like a lawnmower in overdrive, and edge away from you the whole time you were petting her. So you could either stop or chase her through the house to pet her. We did some of both.

If she thought you were being remiss in your petting, though, she'd come up to you and tap you on the face with her paw until you got busy. She was especially attached to my husband, and always liked men better than women for some reason.

For a while, she was an "only cat," but really seemed to get a new lease on life when we got other kitties. She loved to snuggle with the other cats, and seemed to do a lot better with some friends to play with.

I am glad she did not seem to suffer much, and was very healthy most of her life. She was also very loved, and is much missed.

Rest in Peace, Poupon.

Thank you, Donna. You know, I knew the day would come and that we were incredibly fortunate to have her company as long as we did, but man, it sure it hard to lose one of our babies...

Sorry about your loss as well. Those little suckers sure capture our hearts, don't they?
