They live on in our hearts and in our memories.

Kitty Re: Over the Rainbow Bridge

This is our cat, Angel, aka Fu-kitty.
She belonged to a ditzy neighbor who was neglecting her, and for the most part starving her and providing no shelter. Long story short, Angel chose us, and I wasn't about to let her go back to the ditzy neighbor, so I marched myself over to the neighbor's house, asked her how much $$ she wanted for the cat, and in the end, I won out!
She was just the best cat! Very playful and full of personality and pretty much had things *her way* all the time!

We had Fu for over 15 years and lost her to feline diabetes and renal failure in 2003. I'm pretty sure her spirit is still lurking about here in the house, and who knows...she just may be showing Kassie the ropes of how to have things *her way*!

What a beautiful Angel Fu-kitty! She looks so sweet and clever.

Thanks for sharing, Shelley, and setting up a place for our over-the-rainbow-bridge furfriends.

Here's another pic of the Fu with our border collie, Danny Dog!
He went to live on a ranch when we moved. I heard later that the son of the rancher ended up with Danny, and they often went *cruising for chicks* in the son's sports car with the top down! How funny is that! I can just see Danny with his kerchief and sunglasses on!

Hey Dix! Posting at near the same time!

Sistas Susie and Bren mentioned this a while back. I had a little spare time tonight so I thought I would jump in and get it started.

oh yeah...the guy was an airline pilot, and I hear he was just pretty darn handsome, so I'm glad Danny Dog didn't have to hang out with an ugly bachelor! LOL!

Kitty Re: Over the Rainbow Bridge

Here's my Zeno...

Zeno was only 3 years old when we lost him. He had an UTI and had been to the vet, but we didn't realize the antibiotic they gave him didn't work until it was too late. :( He was sooooo sweet, and he liked to jump up on your back any time you bent over. He'd purr when you got near him, and he used to love watching the squirrels outside from my window, so we put him to rest in the corner of the yard, where he can always watch the squirrels and I imagine his spirit chasing them around during lazy, summer days.

This is me petting him - as you can see, it's an OLD pic! Way pre-LC...And the other is one of our impromptu kitty snuggle sessions, with Zeno on the bottom...We love you, Zeno!

Oh...in the pic with you...I can tell he is totally in the *feeling the love* zone, and I would bet, purrrrring at 80 decibels!
He looks like he was definitely mom's boy....and don't ya just love it?

Cute pic of the *gang*...but poor Zeno looks like he is getting smushed pretty good!

sweet memories for sure.

Sistashell, thank you for starting this tribute thread for our furkids who have gone on to Rainbow Bridge.

Two years ago today our precious Modie passed away. Seems like forever that he's been with us. This was my journal post that day, it explains everything...

Quote:
My little Modie's journey came to an end today.

For several weeks he has been in declining health. He had congestive hearth failure which led to acute renal failure. He quit eating his dog food a week ago and would eat what I would prepare for him. He enjoyed his doggie treats until last night when he refused those. It's too painful to write about the details at this moment. I just wanted to let you guys know he is gone, we had to have him put down today. He was about 3-4 years old when we rescued him and that was back in 1991. He was with us 15 years this March. We're all taking it pretty hard.
Here is a link to the website when Modie got to be
Dog of the Day. That was in June 1999. It explains how we came to rescue him.

DS2 created this tribute for Modie. Be forewarned it is a tear jerker. There's music with it, make sure your speakers are on.

What a sweet story, and I have always loved the picture with you and Modie. You can just feel the bond and love looking at it. He clearly was a very special little guy. I'm glad you all found one another.

sistaSue,
I will always LOVE that pic of you and Modie!!!! Bless his little heart.
I know he brought you and your family so much joy; and you showed him love and kindness in return. I'm pretty sure you considered that as a good deal; I know I would have!

Maybe, just maybe, Modie and Fu kitty have touched noses over the rainbow bridge, eh?

This day is for Modie

(((ush)))

As some of you know, my beloved Misha crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 14, 2008. While the pain is lessening, I still miss her so much. Here is a memorial scrapbook layout that I did for her.
