    Default Animal Planet

At this point in our lives we have decided not to have pets; however, we are animal lovers. I think that's why we like Animal Planet so much.

I particularly like all the Animal Cops shows. Today at lunch they were showing Animal Cops - South Africa! It's interesting to see that they have the same types of problems with people abusing and neglecting animals as we have here in this country. And they take as much care in rehabilitating those animals and getting them into good homes. Once you get the hang of their accents, the show is compelling. And the scenery there is awesome! Today there was a herd of sheep starving to death, literally, and the complicated set of circumstances due to one person owning the land, another owning the sheep, and another trying to take care of the sheep but w/o feed that was to be supplied by the owner. Everyone pointed fingers at everyone else, while the sheep dropped dead from lack of food. It was heart breaking.

If you haven't had the chance to watch these shows, I highly recommend them for all animal lovers. I particularly like the Houston shows, but then, I do live in Texas!

I'll set a good example here (as we don't do "political" on LCE) and TOTALLY not make any Sarah Palin jokes. I think it's an incredible demonstration of restraint.

    Aren't you proud?

Now I'd probably like that tv show......but don't have a tv. I think my father watches it as he is always telling me about something he saw on Animal Planet.
