Default Getting enough fibre on Induction?

Hello all,

Well I'm at the end of my 2nd week of Atkins Induction and I intend to stay on it for a bit longer but I'm finding it really difficult to get a sufficient amount of fibre daily - and well, we all know what happens when we don't get enough fibre

I am getting 12 out of the 20 daily net carbs from veggies as well as taking a multi vitamin every day. Any suggestions for upping my fibre intake while on Induction? TIA!

In his book, Dr. Atkins recommended psyllium as a fiber source. Of course you could also move on to OWL and use the slight increase in carbs to increase your intake of fiber rich green veggies.

Are you eating enough fat? I find that if I eat enough fat, I am quite regular, no matter how few veggies I eat. Just a spoonful of coconut oil, or having full fat dressing on your salad, eating the fat with the meat, etc. - doesn't take much to do the trick.

If you are really wanting more fiber, try flaxseed meal. It's more fiber than carbs, and is great in the OMM (one minute muffin.)

I know of some doctors that suggested eating celery for regularity.
