Default Observations after doing Atkins for 2 months

I've just completed my second month on Adkins. I've elected to stay at the induction phase because I have a lot of weight left to lose.

I've found it to be a pretty easy program to work with. I've added nuts and an occasional low-carb tortilla to my repertoire, still staying below 20g of carbs each day. I haven't experienced any of the negative 'digestive' side-effects that I've read about, in fact things seem to move right along (sorry for the TMI).

As for my stats:
  • I've lost a total of 17.4 lbs
  • I am now exercise 4-5 days/week - this is huge as I have RA and exercise can be problematic.
  • I was able to further reduce one of my RA meds - it's been cut by more than half since I've been on Atkins.
  • I no longer have trouble maintaing my blood sugar.
  • I rarely feel hungry - which has caused me to naturally decrease my portion sizes.

In summary:
Atkins is a program that is working for me. It's helping me manage my RA symptoms and helping me get my body moving both of which contribute to me feeling like I am more in control of my life.

I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about giving LCE a try.

Tracy

WTG, Tracy! Thanks for sharing your excellent results thus far.

It's great to hear what a life changer this way of living can be.

Tracy, that's a great report. Those of us who are "veterans" ( or returnees!) need to be reminded that the benefits are genuine, healthy, and sometimes dramatic.

Hope things continue to go well for you as LCE becomes a lifestyle.
