Default Low Carb TV shows

I KNOW this should be in other threads..but I am putting it here because I want everybody to see it!!!!

We have dishnetwork...not sure about these shows being on regular cable or not...BUT...there is an absolutely FABULOUS show on called BLAINE'S LOW CARB KITCHEN....Blaine is a chef...he cooks wonderful dishes..adapting the recipes to be low carb...every week he weighs himself on the show so you can see how many pounds he has lost while on a low carb lifestyle...he has also helped his wife to lose weight...I highly recommend this show...definitely a DVR/TiVo event.................also a great show is EMERIL GREEN...he takes customers through a whole foods store...then cooks there...making 'lower carb' versions of viewers' favorite foods....texmex, italian, turkish, louisiana cuisine...the list goes on and on...always favoring low carb, whole, as well as local foods.....GREAT SHOWS!
If you have a 'search' button on your remote...just type in "low carb" and you will receive a plethora of wonderful ideas...

I've seen Blaine's show and enjoyed it very much. He's a good cook.

The last time I looked in on Emeril "Green" he was doing a bunch of low fat, fairly carby stuff. I'll have to look at it again some time.

Thanks for the info.

I KNOW! I KNOW! Isn't Blaine's show the greatest? They're from 2007 I think, but so what. I'm glad FitTV is showing them again. I record them on my DVR and then burn them to DVD. (I have them programmed in to automatically record.) I will have them forever. He has a website also where anyone with a computer can get his recipes. I believe you can just go to FitTV :: Home Page(go to "favorite shows") and find it. Or just search on Blaine's Low Carb Kitchen. It will pop up. I posted a link somewhere here (I think in the Cooking forum), so there's a direct link somewhere here for the website. I'm so thrilled they're showing his shows again. I had also found Low Carb Cookworks on CREATE TV a while back. That show is with the Eades, who wrote the CAD books.

I posted this on another lc site and a couple of people said "oh, I don't like that he uses so much splenda/soy"..well, if you don't like that part...then you can easily replace them...somebody else told me that they cancelled Blaine's show...he 'fell off the wagon' and gained his weight back...doesn't that just go to show you that this is a wol..not a diet....I am happily using his recipes from back when and they are working just fine...not to mention the fact that my whole family love the dishes!! Thanks for listening!!

That's too bad! I guess I'll just be watching the re-runs on Discovery Health as long as they last...

I have seen his show and I love it! Hey, maybe he will make a comeback show if he really fell off the wagon.

Yesterday was my son's birthday...my daughter made a 'regular' cake for the rest of my family...I made one of Blaine's....low carb lemon pound cake...I will happily share the recipe a bit later...getting son ready for school....I have to say...my husband and older son were quite happy!
