Checking my profile, I see that I'm about to begin my SEVENTH year as a participant in this Forum. Wow.

Even though my low-carb journey has been through many ups and downs during that time, I give credit to the original founder, to goddess, who took up the banner, to the long-time moderators, and most of all, to my many friends here (most of whom I have never met) for a truly life-saving effort.

You've preserved my LC awareness, even when my LC actions didn't always measure up. During the illness and death of my husband, you were my "friends in a box," in waiting rooms, hospital rooms, and lonely rooms. You've given me recipes, encouragement, and a place to hang out. During all times, you've let me carry on and give advice even when I didn't exactly live up to it myself...and helped me come around.

So to anyone out there...you can't find a better encouragement on your LC journey than being here. I'm grateful to have found such a gracious bunch of folks in the scary world of cyberspace.

Here's to LCE, good health, long life.
