Laurie- Glad to have you with us! We have some other poodle moms as well here.

Dode- Also glad to have you!

On the keeping in touch question, after you have a few more posts, you'll be able to send private messages to other members or send emails, but I try to encourage new folks to start off getting most of their support on the forum primarily, at least until they make friends a bit more "organically." That way, you have the benefit of a whole community of knowledable lc'ers at your disposable and aren't relying on a single person for the bulk of your support. It seems to work better that way, and then your discussions can also help others who have similar issues.

Glad to have you both with us!

Hi Laurie,
I'm SOOOOOOOO glad you have *de-lurked*! LOL!

There are a lot of us(myself DEFINITELY included) who have lost our focus for a while...whether, weeks, months, or years, and have come back to LC eating.
It sounds like you are off to a terrific start if the clothes are already feeling looser...and what's not to love about that?!!

Post often and let us know how you are doing. Have you ever considered starting a journal? A lot of them are more *socially* geared, but it's a good place to start to kind of get your thoughts together, run ideas by someone, and most of all, form some new friendships!

Good luck on your journey back to good health and good eating!

Thanks for the warm welcomes...

Shelley, I have actually thought about starting a journal. I need to really stayed focused this time. I have hypoglycemia and I am so tired of the low blood sugar and migraines I get because of them. So this has got to be a way of life for me...

Goddess, I have noticed there are some other Poodle moms on board. I am sure they are just as proud of their babies as I am mine...I look forward to chatting with them.

Bode, Good luck with your journey as well. I have been on this journey before and lost 40 lbs. So I know it is possible...

Thanks,
Laurie

Hi, Laurie. What part of Texas are you from? (Don't need to know specific town, just would like to know what area, so we can swap weather gripes!)

Atkins is a great plan to follow, and should really help you with the hypoglycemia.

So, welcome to our little community. I love it here, because it's very friendly, easy to navigate, and best off all, we get a tremendous amount of support.

Ah, big city area. We're in-the-middle-of-nowhere area. Glad to have you aboard. Low carb should probably fix the blood sugar, and might just fix the migraines, too.
