Default new to LCE

Hi there, I am new to this group, but not new to Low carb eating. About 2 years ago I followed a LC diet and lost over 70lbs... We went on vacation and that's when my downward spiral started. I am still paying the price for it with a 43lb gain back and alot of anger towards myself. :-( I was off track for a while, but am now about a month and a week into eating LC again and I feel great!!!! Although I have noticed the weight isn't coming off as fast this time which can be discouraging. I have heard that happens so I won't give up even if it's difficult at times. I just wanted to say hello and hope to make some new friends here!!!

Have a great weekend!

Melynda, welcome to our forum. Try not to be too hard on yourself, we've all fallen away at some point in time. It's great that you're jumping back on where you left off.

We have a forum that is dedicated to those of us who have restarted our LC woe, Back on the Low Carb Wagon. Check it out.

Make yourself at home!

Hi Melynda,
to LCE! This is a great place for info, support, and community friends!

I'm pretty sure alot of us here have had a *fall from grace*, so to speak.
One of the best things you can do is NOT beat yourself up about it.
It is what it is, it's over and done, and you're MOVIN' ON!!!

Focus on the positives that LC eating does for you and enjoy your journey back to healthy eating and weight loss!

We're glad you are here!

Welcome, Melynda. Glad to hear you're back on track and feeling good!

I'd suggest you not worry too much about the rate of loss. I know that can be tough, but after all--when lc becomes less about dieting and more about "just how you eat," then the time factor doesn't seem quite as important, huh?

Glad to have you with us.

Thanks for the welcome! I certainly am trying to not focus on the rate of my loss. It was just so fast last time :-( It's hard, but definately doable! Thanks again for the welcome and have a wonderful weekend!

many people report that their subsequent "runs" with low carbing, losses still come, but tend to be slower than the first time around. and you know, too, the longer you're at it, the easier it gets regardless.

you have a good weekend, too!

Welcome, Melynda.

Yes, every subsequent foray into low carb sees slower losses, but once you make it your way of eating, it's easy to stick with it for the long run.

Hope you have much success.
