Peace first time here

Hi Everyone! I am new to your site. I just joined tonight. I have found that when I omit carbs from my diet, my heartburn disappears. I am so happy to have discovered this. I am hoping that this low-carb living will help me to lose weight also (I need that too). Any suggestions for low carb breakfast foods? Thank you!!

Snow. One of the nice things about low carb eating is that you don't have to follow the paradigm of the "usual breakfast foods. That being said, for breakfast, I alternate meals using variations of Maggie's cereal, usually 3-4 times a week. You can get the recipe in the recipe forum. I also have variations on omelets, l/c pancakes w/sausage, One Minute Muffins, etc.
There are a lot of good suggestions in the recipe forum, look around.

Peace Re: first time here

welcome, snow.

hope you're eating your veggies, as that's a staple of low carbing, even though they do contain carbs. it's the carbs from sugar and white flour that seem to be the problem for most of us. (and when people try to go no-carb, they also often find they don't feel as well and may have difficulty losing weight as well.)

glad to have you with us, and hope you'll make yourself at home!

Butterfly Re: first time here

Hello, My name is Tonia I am not new to low carb; however I am new to the site. I started low carb about three years ago and lost around 50 pounds. I quit smoking and gained every pound back. I have been on the low carb only 5 days and can not wait to see results. I am already a little frustrated because it has been 5 days and nothing has happened, although I am not hungry for a change. I know it will not happen over night, but how frustrating.
Have a great day everyone and nice to meet you all

Tonia, on quitting smoking. Weight loss does not happen on any timetable that we set-up. Don't be discouraged by a slow pace, changing to healthy eating habits will give you your long term results. Good luck on your journey.
