| Thank you all! You gave me some insight on whats going on, on my end i have been eating a lot of meat and no veggies, i totaly forgot i could have any. In my head i think meat,meat and more meat. I love this sight ive learned alot about all that im doing and y this and that!!! ![]() |

| brandy, if you're doing atkins, most of your carbs should be coming from veggies and if you're not eating veggies, you're not doing lc "right." LC is largely veggies and protien. If you don't have the book, you can start at the Atkins site for a food list to get you started. But you're looking at eating at least a couple cups of veggies a day.

| Ok thank you!! Ive been eating very little. I do have the book but i forgot about veggies that will probable help me. But i have still lost 18lbs. |

| just for the record, brandy, don't eat less than you're hungry for in order to do this. that's dieting, and it's never worked long-term before, right? get your book back out and review it. and when you're hungry, for goodness sakes, eat! eat until you're not hungry anymore. doesn't have to be until you're stuffed. most people don't realize that eating less doesn't really speed things up, and can actually slow your metabolism and make it harder to lose as your body adjusts to the restrictions. the magic of low carb is that you don't have to starve yourself, be hungry, or not enjoy food. you can do all those things and still be at a healthy, happy weight for you, so long as you take the time to learn which choices support your goals and experiment with your eating to see what works for you and what doesn't. keep reading, sister! and we'll help point the way.

| well i tell ya, brandy...when i found this forum, i had lost about 30 pounds; the encouragement and info i got here made a tremendous difference from me and still helps. glad to hear you've found your book! that makes a big difference.
