Default Aching to lose forever

Hi all!! I am not new to this weight loss plan but let myself get away from it throughout the years. Now out of control as I am, and 50 pounds overweight, I need your support as I can also give it back to any of you the best we can. I lost weight when I was in my twenties, and that was 30 years ago. I maintained it back and forth until the last seven and I believe it the way of life I am leading now. My second marriage seems to be a lot of entertaining and that of course means food. I need and want so desperately to lose the weight and be happy with myself again. I am going to continue on this website checking with my new LC friends and hope this helps me to stay focused. I hope to meet a lot of new friends throught this website and help you also with the support we all need. Happy New Year to everyone and make this our best year ever!!! Good Luck to all of us in the year 2009!!

Welcome Diane,

I think that all of us have gotten away from eating LC from time to time only to come back and usually with weight gains, we all know what works we just need to remain commited and try harder to remain focased on our goals. You will find as much support as you need here. Good Luck to you may 2009 be your year!

Diane.

We wish you the best on your search for an equilibrium between your social obligations and your need to be true to your own metabolism, and are happy to help in any way we can.

Here's to a whole new year.

Diane. Are you going to follow a specific low carb plan? As for entertaining, if you are in charge of the food, I'm sure you will amaze your guests with the wide variety of low carb friendly delicious foods you can serve, including desserts (and they may never need to know they are low carb, unless you tell them). Good luck.

Diane-Glad to have you with us.

Henry is right about the cooking: if you learn how to do the LC cooking thing, you'll find yourself having a lot more options for entertaining. There are some differences in techniques and sometimes ingredients, but I've had some delicious LC fare. Then, you'd be doing everybody a favor!

I imagine you will like the site. There are a REALLY cool bunch of folks here, although I readily admit I could be a *touch* biased.

Let's hang in there together because I know we can do it. Yesterday I hung a picture of myself with my many chins on the refrigerator and what I looked like 8 years ago. OH my. I have let myself go and I do feel the difference. It wears me out to play with the grandchildren, my feet are killing me and I just can't stand the spare tires anymore. This morning I started out with my stretching exercises which I am going to continue twice a day for 20 minutes each until the feet get better, then I will go back to my Leslie Sansone Walk tapes which I love doing but it is on concrete so need to heel the feet first. I started out on the two week introduction and am feeling great about it already. Keep in touch, we can do this together!!!!! Whenever I find another picture of myself with all my chins you will see what I look like now and also am going to post one of myself when I was 50 pounds lighter which is my goal. Good luck and I really think this support website is going to help all of us!!
Happy 1

I made my own cookbook, printing out recipes from various lc websites, or putting together my own creations, then hole punched them and put them in a 3-ring binder. It's a good way to have a nice stash of recipes you like. The best cookbooks are the ones you use all the time, with all the spills & grease spots! LOL!
