Default My Christmas gift

My Chritmas gift to myself was embracing low carb into my life again. I had followed DANDR 5 years ago and lost 55 lbs, felt great, but then I let the "I deserve" devil creep into my head, as you must already know, I gained back everything I had lost. So here I am, more realistic and a bit wiser.

The day after Christmas I dumped my kitchen. There wasn't much to get rid of because I had been planning ahead and discarding alot. So far I've lost 12.5 lbs. I know it's not always easy but I'll face down the hurdles with determination.

I'm glad I found this site because I've already spent hours reading and looking up recipes. I love getting new recipes and trying them.

Good for you Sandy! What a wonderful Christmas gift you gave yourself. I too, started about that time.....Christmas Eve. It's awesome to lose so quickly and feel so good. Welcome and good luck in the coming year.

Thank so much katlupe! I wish you the best of luck too. Once the first 2 weeks are over I know the losses won't be so fast, but I'm here to endure. Thanks for the welcome!

Sandy,

Hello and welcome to LCE. I think we all can relate to your story, most of us have fallen off the plan only to come back to realize that this is what works, this is a way of life and for that we must change our lifestyle if we want to succeed. Congrats on your 12.5 loss and may you have many more in 2009.

Sandy. I'm glad you find this site.on your loss so far. I too like to cook and enjoy finding new recipes. In fact, low carb eating/cooking has renewed my interest in cooking and finding new things to enjoy. Good luck on your weight loss journey.
