Default Hi people. I'm new here.

Hi everyone, I'm Marybeth! Just started a new low carb "way of life" on Monday. I've tried this thing before with the Atkins plan and lost 80 lbs but unfortunately I gained it all back and then some because I just did not have enough willpower. But I'm trying it again and this time I will succeed!

I've been so tired the last few days but I know if I get through the first week it's all uphill from there!

I just need some people to be there for me who might know what I'm going through, and this site seems awesome for that! So hit me back!

marybeth- hang in there, woman. those first few days are the toughest by far, and you know the payoff is worth it.

as far as the gains, it's not willpower, dear. you demonstrated adequate willpower in losing 80 pounds to begin with! what you need is to do the transitioning after you lose the weight, and perhaps to identify anything that might have led you gradually off-course before you noticed?

that doesn't sound as hard to me.

Marybeth,
I think most of us know what you are going through, I know this has to be a lifestyle change, it's easy to stray and go back to our old ways, and even harder to find our way back, but Goddess is right, you are already showed you have the willpower, you can do this! Just stay focused and the first week will be over before you know it.

Welcome, Marybeth! It's nice to have a seasoned pro here, and since you had such great success before, you most likely know all the ins and outs of the program, and will be of a lot of help and encouragement to others!

And don't feel too bad about the backsliding. I'm on my 3rd go-round. Embarrassing but true. But this time I've stuck with it, it's my way of eating for the rest of my life.

Wishing you much success!

Welcome Aboard...you will love it here! I have been coming back for years and I am still always welcomed with open arms!
Induction phase can be brutal! Just remember that it is just a few days, you are detoxing the system and trust me it will all be worth it.
Take it one day at a time and do become obsessed with the scale, the inches are still melting off and how your clothes fit or don't really matter alot as well.
Hang in there and you are doing great!
Best of luck and keep us updated.
