Thanks for welcome... just a granny interested in better health..for all my family...

i have found that carbs are now causing me to get very tired.. it never happened when i was young .... so now i am trying to limit them to only wholegrain breads and potato cooked in skins.. seems to be working better..

have had breast cancer and imune system problems and just trying to be healthy.. got to work something out i have told the grandkids i intend to haunt them until i am at least 110 years old...

oh .. from new zealand.. and have lots of hobbies.. hoping to be able to go back to work this year after being too sick for the last four years..oh dont think negative about the breast cancer.. have had my 5 year clearance so am just fine about it all...one of the lucky ones..

cheers

Welcome, Barb.

I've moved your post to "Introductions" so that more members might see it.

Hope you'll make yourself at home.

Barb, glad to have you with us. Do you intend to follow a specific low carb plan?

no i dont think i could follow a specific plan hdyhouse... i am a bit of a **dont quite finish it person** basiclly trying to eat everything homemade and healthy and really cutting back carbs..the homemade wholegrain breads dont knock me as much as brought stuff..havent worked out why yet...i can even eat a little white flour if it is yummy homemade scones made with kefir (my flavour of the month).. but if i eat brought products made with white flour i am zonked out for at least a couple of hours..lots of my silly allergies going wierd these days..
