| There are a couple different low carb plans, so it sounds as if you need to do some research to find out what will work best for you long term. They all include things other than just protein (as it should be). I do Atkins, and I also eat a ton of veggies, cheese, etc, plus some nuts and berries. Of course, you have to eat the right kind of nuts, the right kind of veggies, etc. There's also Protein Power, South Beach, etc. I'd suggest that you spend some time doing research and find the plan that is most sustainable for you long term. |

Find a plan that works for you/your lifestyle. Eating only protein is not healthy nor does it seem sustainable for any length of time. You should eat protein, veggies: snack on celery and peanut butter or cucumber slices with cream cheese, avocado/olives, cheese. Eat when your hungry and stay full do not try to cut calories. Drink lots of water. |

| Welcome! First thing is to pick a specific plan and then get the book that goes with it. I follow Atkins and have several of his books and I read them over and over. It really helps you keep focused and in control. Knowing why you are doing something makes it easier to stick to. Protein is good but as the other posters just said you need some veggies too. I also like the one minute muffin for fiber and the mock danish for something sweet. Check out the cooking board and the recipe section. We can eat lots of good stuff! katlupe |

| Picking a plan is a good idea, as others have suggested. Low Carb Questions - Newbie Topics - How many carbs should I be eating? In the meantime, start eating veggies again! Veggies are a mainstay of pretty much any LC plan and they're good for you. We Heart Veggies here!

| I don't believe you have to start all over. I have done the same thing a couple of times myself. I just finished it and immediately just followed the low carb plan like always. katlupe |

| Its your choice. It takes 1-2 days sometimes longer to get into ketosis, if you start strict you get to your original point faster. If you are less strict than Induction, it will take longer to get to fat burning again. But if you don't lose patience and can keep things in perspective its less important to be strict. If you are going through ketosis, you may be hungrier and more likely to fall off the wagon. So try to eat larger portions of protein and keep yourself full. |
