Default Making this a lifestyle!

Hello All,
I am not new to LCE having made many attempts and finding myself back at square one over and over again. My highest weight was 282 and I am now down to 204.5 but my lowest weight doing LC is 197 only being 2 weeks ago! Then had a bite of junky carbs and ending up binging and gained 7.5 lbs!

Over the weekend I had to sit down and really look at the BIG picture. Why am I not making LCE a lifestyle? Why am I constantly treating it like a diet?

If this is going to be for life I need to give it 100%, meaning I need to prepare more. If there are foods I like I can make a low carb version, this WOE doesn't have to be boring.

I love how I feel physically eating this way and my skin looks great when I eat right. I need to stop thinking about what foods I'm giving up and can't have and embrace the food I can have and the way the food make me feel.

So here I go again trying to get it right, hopefully this board will help me along the way.

Bingo!! Now you've got the right idea!
And, hey, don't beat yourself up! Look at the great success you're having...not the little detour that you took. Think in terms of NO guilt....and movin' on!
A BIG CONGRATS on that 78 lb loss!

Best wishes on your journey to healthy eating and weight loss.
I have NO DOUBT you can do it!!!

Hi, Kimberly.

You're definitely honing in on some important stuff. As a fellow "foodie" (takes one to know one, LOL!) I can tell you that, over time, you'll learn a whole new way of cooking that is consistent with a low carb lifestyle.

It takes some time, effort and mistakes. If you're willing to commit to the journey, you can prevail.

I gotta tell ya, after 6 years of doing this lifestyle, it becomes pretty automatic. It's a constant way of thinking, but it does get easier. Check out the recipes link at the top of the page and arm yourself with healthy alternatives to the old way of eating and cooking.

You CAN do it!!!!!
