Default Time to do something about it...

Hiii Everyone!

I've low carbed over the years, but have never really stuck to any diet for more than 3 weeks. I've decided it's time to get down to it. Poor hubby... he has always been extremely muscular, but after 9 years of being together I'm afraid I've almost ruined him. He's not a happy camper at all with the 50 lbs or so of tummy he's gained over the years (a beer belly, w/o the beer!). So it's time for both of us to start eating and exercising. We've both lost a little already and look forward to slowly and steadily losing the rest over the next year or more.

Here we go... We WILL succeed!

Hi Jacki,
to LCE!
Don't think of your journey in terms of *dieting*...
think in terms of your FAN-TAB-U-LOUS new LIFESTYLE that you can maintain for the rest of your healthy, fit, and slim life!!!

Best wishes on your journey to healthy eating and weight loss...and best wishes to your hubby also!

Glad to have you with us, Jacki.
Gotta echo Shelley on this one - changing how you think about your LC is what makes the difference. You'll be learning to substitute lower carb versions of what you like to eat so you can integrate it into your lifestyle. And the changes you make will help your hubby as well!

Have you picked a plan to start with?

Welcome Jacki! I hope hubby will get on board with you too. It's much easier if you have a buddy helping out. Check out the fantAStic recipes we have posted up top in the Recipe section. Browse around and find stuff that will fit into your lifestyle that will keep you on the road to success.

May I suggest:
Mock Danish
Caulimash
My own BBQ sauce
LC Pancakes

Just to name a few.
