    Default Hello LCE

I'm really just getting started, even if it seems like I'm half way, it feels like each step is steeper than the last.

Some of the conversations on here are inspiring and hopefully I can add something to this wonderful site!

Yes. I'm borrowing it from my friend but im pretty sure she is going to let me keep it, haha. I've read the first 11 chapters and read threw induction and so on and so forth im still reading though. I was wondering... i have trouble without snacks haha so seeing as you dont count calories i know the salt will hurt but i dont think i can make it threw induction without pork rinds... seeing as they are pork and they will help me will it matter if i munch on those throughout the day?

Pork rinds are soooo evil yet good.. I found a great meatloaf recipe online that uses pork skins and it's YUM!

I'm sure you'll get there if you just find the right alternatives and stick with it.

While pork rinds have 0 carbs, and you don't "count calories" be aware that even Dr. Atkins said that calories do matter. I have snacked on occasion on pork rinds. However, I have a salt trigger and it is too easy for me to take in quite a few calories doing so. Now, I try to use pork rinds only as a bredding substitute or as a part of a dish like my "Nacho Ordinary Strata" or as a base for a plate of l/c "Super Nachos" for a meal and not as a snack. Remember, you should eat, if you are hungry, but mindless snacking is a good way to sabotage your weight loss as those calories do add up. Are you eating at least every 6 hrs.? If you think you are hungry between meals, try drinking some water or 0 carb beverage and see if you are still "hungry" after 10 minutes. If so, then consider a l/c snack that will curb your actual hunger like a hard boiled egg or a piece of meat or perhaps a piece of cheese.

Welcome Cody! What I do is to plan my snacks in advance. Like having salmon or turkey salad, low carb coleslaw or pieces of chicken with hot sauce, ready to just grab for that quick snack. Saves me every time.

    Good luck!

Oh yeah spicy meats! This is a great tip! From wikipedia:

Capsaicin and several related compounds are called capsaicinoids and are produced as a secondary metabolite by chili peppers, probably as deterrents against certain herbivores and fungi.

So you take something you want to eat like chicken, ham, beef, and spice it up so that you don't eat much! Don't make it so spicy you are revolted, but you shouldn't be avoiding peppers.
