Thread: Reality...I'm addicted to carbs!

It finely hit me last night....I can't believe it, not me. I can't really be addicted to carbs.

This is my first time ever to write a journal. I don't know what to put in here but, here goes anyway.

I have been on and off the LC for about 5 yrs. Not ever getting it in my head,that I'm addicted to carbs. What took me so long????? There is a long history in my family of addiction alcohol, drugs ect. I always looked at the other family members (mother, sister, brother) and said "I'm never going to go to that place" Well, it hit me last night that I did go there...but with carbs. I didn't hardly sleep a wink lastnight. With that said. Here starts the a new outlook on LC and my life.

Ohhhhhhhh a long time!!! LOL May of 2002!! But at Christmas of 2002 I started eating way to many nuts!!! And just lately got a handle on it again!!! LOL So the slow loss is due to over eating LC!!!

Well, it's day 3 and i'm starting to feel better... Its been awhile since i have wanted to do anything, but today I washed my truck inside and out. What a job, it had three trips to Ca. since it's last bath.

I need to learn to not step on that scale. I read someones post that said to get rid of the scale...i don't think i can do that yet. i am working on not stepping on it every day. but i do have to admit that i did today. thankfully it was good to see it move alittle..downward instead of up.

I'm not looking forward to monday, i must go job hunting. Its the first time i have ever thought that i might not get hired becouse of my weight. That really makes me feel stressed and uncomfortable.

well its been a few days. I finely went job hunting today. I have a few good leads...thinking happy thoughts.

I have been good this week. no cheats.

my daughter is comming home this weekend, College student, needs to do launday lol
What ever the reason, Im glad she will be home

I'm really excited, I got a call back from a company to test for their job tomorrow.

No cheats again today..keeping in mind that carbs are really my own drug, keeps me on track. I have always said I would NEVER be like my mother...and now I'm NOT........! That makes it all worth it......,...

Happy Day.......passed the test, interview, and drug test.....have a new job.

Wow, I came home from my interview and my wonderful Hubby did the dishes. Can this day be any better.

It's been really different for me this time. I thinks it's my outlook. I have been thinking of LC as the way it should be and not when can i stop.

Today is 11 days, boy it's gone fast. No cheats, thats so different for me....i'm normaly the cheat queen.

The hubby had to work today thats a bummer. I had all kinds of things that i wanted us (well really him) to do today. Darn work always seems to get in the way of fun. lol

I weighed myself again today, I did yesterday too. no loss.....Well thats ok becouse TOM is visiting me right now.

Kids are here having a nice visit.

Well the kids left awhile ago, I always feel alittle sad when they leave. Anyway no pitty party here.

NO CHEATS AGAIN TODAY !!!!! YIPPEE

Most of the time I do the cooking, so LC is easy because I fix things I can eat. Tonight my son and daughter made dinner, they made hamburger helper cheese hashbrown, muffins ect. When I came in my son said "Mom I'm just getting ready to make your dinner". I went a head and fixed my dinner. It was so nice that he even thought of me and what I would eat. I really think they are getting it too. I think they know mom is a much nicer person when shes eating this way..lol My hubby sometimes feels guilty for eating carb loaded food that he know I wont eat. It sometimes makes me feel guilty for him feeling guilty...is that crazy or what. Not that he ever means to...I'm working on that too....my life seems to be more and more things to work on..I guess I will nerver get bord. lol

I am so tired, we worked outside all day. My Hubby, Son and Ben worked fixing a shelter for my daughters horse before the rain and snow comes.

This place needs so much work.......we have only been here for about a month. The old owners left the place a wreck. There is so much stuff and trash they left out there i could just scream. I worked on the other 2 correls almost got all the trash and stuff out of them. I think if we ever buy another house I will have a cleaning clause in the escrow......
