| Okey-Doke Party People...I'm gonna try this thing and see how I do. It will be good to rant and rave and pretend everyone on here is listening. 'Cept all is good now...can't complain, well I could but it won't do much good. hahaha I think I will start with my menu for each day. Let me warn you, I am new, I am starting to get the hang of this, but I AM breaking old habits. We are not a huge vegetable family. I know I need to up this. I am also not big into water, but this too I am trying to up. Anyhoo, here goes everything. Breakfast - nothing (ducks as the looks of shock are aimed at me) Habit people, habit! I am not a morning person, BUT I will start to put something in my tummy. Did drink 33oz. of water by lunch. I've got my 5th graders making me drink! How ingenious! Lunch - Bubba burger with sauted onions and mushrooms, topped with grated swiss, SF jello, green tea with 1 Splenda Snack - 4 large pepperoni slices and a slice of cheddar, water Dinner - Bratwurst with the rest of the onions and mushrooms, romaine w/ranch, CF Diet Coke Ended the day with SF Jello If I add anything else I'll let you know. I want the chocolate cake, but I'm saving that for the 10lb. mark!! Monday is my new weigh in day. I started this WOL last Tuesday, but I think Monday is a good day. So, as of this morning I'm at 187, which is -7!! It is TOM so I'm hoping even more soon. I know I just started, but hey! I'm glad for any amount of loss. Yea me! | Breakfast - 2 fried eggs with butter, water Lunch - can of tuna w/ mayo, celery stalk, string cheese, SF jello, green tea No snack, that's why I'm hungry!!! I'll eat some cheddar. Dinner - Chicken, Mushroom, Sausage casserole, asparagus I've been drinking water all day long. Teaching at a school has its days, like today. School lunch is nothing to write home about unless it is tomato soup and grilled cheese. I had just said a few weeks ago that I wish they would have it. Of course they wait until I am on induction to serve it! Geez!! I ate my own lunch like a good girl and am very proud! Then!!! Someone had to pop popcorn! Smelled great! Made me hungry so I'm eating cheese now and drinking, yes, more dang water. I hope dinner is good, new recipe. I'm going to the gym later as well! | Ok...I'm behind a day so here it goes. Yesterday! B~ 2 eggs fried w/butter L~ leftover dinner from night before. I must say I think it was better!! SF jello, pepperoni, and string cheese D~ 1/2 Zaxby's grilled chicken ceasar salad, dollop of chicken salad, CF Diet Coke Desset~ mock danish plain Today~~~ B~ none-sorry! L~ leftover salad from last night! YUM! CF DC Snack~ pork rinds dipped in sour cream mixed with 1/2 taco seasoning, salsa, and cheese-like a layer dip D~ Not really sure right now. I think it will be a Bubba Burger. Going to my MIL and she knows I am LC so I HOPE I can eat. If not, I'll come home and fix something else. She is frying cube steak for everyone else! | OK, last night was a test, only a test. You know how I said my MIL was fixing cube steak for dinner? Well, I was hoping it wasn't her typical meal. Guess what! It was !! Aaaargggg! Fried cube steak, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, homemade buscuits. Absolutely tempting! She fixed a Bubba burger for me and I topped it with American cheese and mustard. I also had a salad. She was sweet enough to even fix some SF Jello. I was ok! Didn't cheat, but I think it helped having a snack before I went so I wasn't so hungry. Boy, I really wanted that meal. ALL CARBS!!! Eeeekkkkkkk! I had a few pecans later on that night, though. I'm proud of myself. Today's menu~~~ B~ Nothing again. This is hard since I really am not a morning person and it takes everything I have to get to work on time L~ A little leftover dip from yesterday, pork rinds, pecans, SF Jello. I know---where were my veggies? In the fridge I say! Running late and grabbed the easiest thing. D~ DH took out some chicken so I assume we are having a chik dish. I'll eat veggies tonight!!!! Trying to up the water. It is a slow process!! Glug, glug, glug BYE! V ~~~~~Went crazy and had a hot dog w/ mustard no bun, 2 giant roast beef, meat only!!! No chicken though!!! | Saturday~ Breakfast with Santa!!! We had a great time, but I couldn't remember if we got our own food or if it was served to us. Thankfully we got our own food. They served pancakes, eggs, sausage, doughnuts, cereal, fruit, and breakfast bars. I chose the eggs and sausage and had water to drink. I was so glad I didn't have to push around the pancakes to eat up all the eggs. My daughter didn't finish her eggs so I scooped them onto my plate. Guess what I got a taste of? SYRUP!! Tasty, I must say, but I quit eating. Didn't want to get tempted. It was a lot of fun!!! Skipped lunch since I was so busy AND I knew I was going out after my son's play. Went to Taco Mac and had fajitas w/ sour cream and cheese only and hot wings. I should have stuck with just the wings since there was a teriyaki sweet-tasting sauce I never had before on them. I don't know if it is because I ordered the combo instead of chicken as I have done in the past or what. It didn't kick me out of ketosis, thought,PHEW!!!! I also tried a raspberry Stoli w/ seltzer, but I didn't like it, so I ended up drinking water. Much better for me anyway!!!!!! Today~~ B~ 2 fried eggs w/ butter, a little Crystal Light Lemonade L~ 2 grilled hamburger patties w/AM. cheese, lettuce, and mustard, 1 grilled hotdog w/ mustard. CF DC It was my niece's birthday lunch at my IL's so I was glad it was LC friendly!! We left before the cake was cut (YEA) since we had our children's Christmas Concert to attend. D~ 1 hamburger patty and 1 hotdog from lunch. CF DC My son wanted a piece of Nana's cake so we stopeed by and she fed us. She had made some more SF Jello so I had some dessert, too. HAHA I would really like to maintain this WOL. I am curious to see how much I have lost on Tuesday, my 2 week anniversary. I won't weigh until then. I'm off to plan this week's meals. | I back after a couple of days away. Been really busy. Here is a rundown of the past 2 days... Monday B~ Vanilla Atkins Shake L~ Our principals made us lunch. I was really worried what it would be so I brought lunch just in case. I didn't need it!! They had 3 salads, as well as 2 types of lasagna AND dessert, which I skipped! The salads wer delish! One was the layered kind with lettuce, peas, bacon, etc. with the mayo-type dressing on top and cheese. Another was a regular salad, but is was topped with a TON of swiss cheese strips and salami. THe last was like a dessert. It probably had a few more carbs, but it was ok. It was spinach with a strawberry dressing with fresh strawberries and pecans. YUM!!! D~ I was hungry so I talked DH into taking me out. We ended up at Ryan's and I had 2, yes 2, steaks! I had some salad AND they had SF jello! Tuesday - Not felling well, getting a cold B~ nada L~ tuna w/ mayo, celery, pecans, and SF jello D~ ground beef w/ taco seasoning, cheese, a little salsa and a few pork rinds to dip. I ended up eating most of it without the rinds. Drank green tea throughout the day to try and fend off cold. Today The tea didn't work! Full blown cold. YUCK! No breakfast, Crystal Light Lemonade to keep hydrated. Water, yuck Lunch was leftover dinner, couldn't taste, didn't eat much. I'll keep up with drinking though. GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday was my weigh in day and I am at 181, a loss of 13 pounds! Yippee!! Wish me wellness V 5'3 194/183/140 My age ?, nah, my personality will dictate that! |

| It's official...I'm sick...have been at home yesterday and today. I didn't do a thing yesterday. I got out of beed a mere 4 times basically all day, 3 to use the restroom and 1 to get a drink. DH brought home sizzling rice soup, no rice, for me and I drank a little. Had a cup of SF jello a little later. Did not feel like eating. Today I feel a good bit better, enough to get up a bit and move around. I ate the rest of the soup and drank a CF Diet Coke. It took awhile, but I ate. Not feeling sick to my stomach, just yucky!! I hope to be all well by the time the weekend is over. I hate missing 2 days of teaching! It is wierd that even in my sickness and wanting soup, I still thought about the carbs. How many carbs are in Nyquil anyway? I'm sure it doesn't matter since I will use it regardless. That was mostly my sustinance yesterday. | Well, I'm feeling a LOT better now. I have 1/2 a headache, only on the right side of my head, which I'm sure is sinus. Been kickin' with the Nyquil at night and will go back to work tomorrow. The WIERDEST thing happened yesterday. I realized about 8:00 that NIGHT that I had not eaten all day. It was my first day getting around the house and doing a few things, plus taking my son to his play last night. I guess I forgot. I wasn't hungry. I was worried about how I would feel today, but I was fine. I actually ate out twice! EEEEKKKK! After church we went out and I ordered a philly steak and ate all of 1/2, but 1/2 the other, just the inside. I also had a few bites of coleslaw. When I realized I was full I threw things on my plate so I wouldn't nibble. It worked! Strange! Didn't make it to the grocery and didn't want a bland dinner so we went to Outback. Got a salad, ate a good bit, and Alice Springs Chicken w/ veggies. #1, the bread wasn't tempting, #2 I cut the chik in half so I could have lunch tomorrow. Yea!! I was so satisfied. | Today is weigh in day......178! I'm very excited and proud! Proud mostly for taking a mature approach and not expecting great things, but things in its time. I am proud of the attitude I have. Proud of the feeling I have. Proud of how I am progressing. Proud to know I am in control. I'm still getting over the sickness, probably will be for awhile. 3 more days of school then a nice, needed break. No lesson plans, getting up early, or faculty meetings. Take care of me time! YES!!! I plan on eating much healthier the last 2 weeks of the year, beginning with breakfast. I wonder how I will start the new year. Today menu kinda skimpy. | I'm human, I suppose. I didn't cheat, I knew what I was doing. I think a cheat is when it happens, and you didn't really expect it. This, I knew was going to happen. I was hoping it wasn't, but it did. We had out annual breakfast at school today. Egg casserole, fine, fruit, no, banana bread, 1 slice w/ cream cheese AND a container of orange juice with..................... 35 carbs! I wanted it so I drank it. Then, our 5th grade party came so I will confess all I had. 1 chocolate covered pretzel, 2 small square brownies, 1 white chocolate macadamia cookie, 4 crackers w/ port wine cheese spread, and finally 1 chocolate covered cherry. Topped it all with a DC, not caffeine free. AAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH! Well, I will get back to what I know is right tomorrow, take my lumps, and hope I didn't do too much damage. I did drink 3 glasses of water and used the bathroom well. Serves me right. I know Christmas Day will be a no-no day aready, as well as New Year's Eve at The Melting Pot. | We are officially out of school!! YEA!! I need a break. Yesterday we went to Atlanta Bread Company and I had Clam Chowder, Chopstix Salad, and a roll. Not LC. Didn't eat the rest of the day AND drank a ton of water. The bread was really good. I knew that I had been eating bad the past few days or not eating at all and I really wanted just a good, wholesome meal. It really hit the spot. It was strange since I was worried about the carbs in the bread and potatoes making me hungry later on. Didn't happen. Going to Macaroni Grill tonight and then a concert. I read so many posts on good menu choices so I think I will be ok. Tomorrow is grocery day and I will be able to really stock up on some good things for the pantry and fridge. I am back up to 180, but I really can't complain because not eating is NOT the way to lose. I lost most when I was sick. Nice to see it all not piling up as I get back into food. | THANKS FEBE!! Same to you! I have been so busy the past few days that I haven't even posted a thing! Weigh in was this morning and I am still at 180. I could say I'm disappointed but I really am not. I did eat the wrong thigs a few days back, got back on track and am pleased that I didn't blow the progress I made. I discovered the word I was looking for when I posted earlier about the cheat. It was an indulgence. I don't need any more of those. I believe I will be fine over the holidays. Going to a friend's house Christmas day who does LC so I know that day will be just fine. My MIL makes a great homemade cheeseball so I will probably have a few crackers with that, but that should be the extent of the straying. We always have ham, etc. so I'll be ok. I must keep up with the water. I haven't been drinking much of anything lately. Don't know why, not even DC. Who knows?! So...MERRY CHRISTMAS!! | You know when you start something gung-ho and then the newness just fades away? I hope that is not what happened to me. I have been really busy and have checked in from time to time. I haven't really neglected my new WOL, but I am not full force either. I have lost 2 more pounds. Back down to 178, which I achieved when I was sick. I am proud of that. I think seeing how this lifestyle can be adaptable every day is very encouraging. It is a conscious choice I make not to eat the roll at O'Charley's, not to try a bite of the cake, and to decide that the food WILL be there when I am at my goal weight. I have a healthier outlook on my life and I want this for me, not anyone else. One day I will be there and I will thank everyone who supported me along the way. It is nice to be in control.
