Stats for yesterday 9.9.03:

Total: 1585
Fat: 118 1058 67%
Sat: 41 372 24%
Poly: 25 226 14%
Mono: 42 378 24%
Carbs: 15 48 3%
Fiber: 3 0 0%
Protein: 116 465 30%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

I was running around so much yesterday that I didn't get a chance to log my food! I wasn't really hungry either.

I had my appt at the allergist to see why I keep getting hives. Well, it's not a food allergy, WHEW! But in some ways it's worse, I have idiopathic urticaria...or...hives with no specific trigger. The allergist was great, he explained everything thoroughly. Basically, my body produces histamine like crazy and when I eat something, put something on my skin or breathe something that my body dislikes, it releases the histamine and I get hives. He said at this point allergy testing would likely be useless because I'd probably react to everything at least somewhat. He changed my meds from Allegra-D to Zyrtec. Apparently the decongestant in Allegra-D can trigger hives. Great. He said that this condition will get worse and worse as time goes on and eventually the Zyrtec won't keep the hives at bay. He did say there are plenty of other meds to move on to. I have to say, I was quite relieved it wasn't a food allergy. I was worried that it was my beloved blue cheese dressing that was causing the reaction. I ate it twice yesterday after having the appt and...no hives! YAY!!

Back on task here...I did get my gallon of water in yesterday. I did a little mid-week weigh in today and I'm down to 179!! I'm not taking that for an official weight though. That'll have to wait until next week.

Cheers!

DD and I have a chocolate cake in the oven! A LC chocolate cake, no less!!! We're going to have it with either homemade vanilla ice cream or whipped cream tonight for dessert. I'm LOVING this WOE!! I love the fact that I can make a cake for my kids and not have it full of sugar and white flour. I was worrying about what to do around birthday time. You know, the kids kind of expect a cake. I'll let y'all know how it turns out!

Cheers!

URGH, last night I sat down to log my foods into Fitday and just completely shut down. I fell asleep with the laptop on my lap. I guess that's what being up most of the night with the kids does to you. LOL! I was up and at 'em all day, as long as I was busy. I credit this WOE with feeling that good. In the past, if I was up with the kids, I was in a coma on the couch the next day.

Yesterday wasn't my best day. I had 2 pieces of LC cake, only drank 3 qts of water and ate turkey jerky before bed. Sooo, today, 1 piece of cake for dessert ONLY, get in that gallon and NO before bed snacking. I went up to 182 from 179 yesterday. I'm positive it's from not getting my gallon and having that jerky...can you say retaining water?? Anyway, I'll post my stats from yesterday later. I have to tend the kids.

Cheers!

Febe, we apparently have the same problem. UFF! I had to guess on the calories/fat grams for the chocolate cake, so my stats may be off one way or the other, but calories were waaaay too high, nonetheless. I don't know what to tell you, Febe! It's like the blind leading the blind on this one I'm afraid! I'm hoping you get some good responses on the challenge board! I could use them, too!

Yesterday's stats, better late than never:

Total: 2147
Fat: 171 1541 69%
Sat: 51 461 21%
Poly: 23 205 9%
Mono: 44 392 18%
Carbs: 54 122 5%
Fiber: 24 0 0%
Protein: 133 531 24%
Alcohol: 6 41 2%

The carbs are right in line, but the calories are out of control! Although, I think everyone can pretty much guess that all those carbs didn't come from veggies....oh, no! They came from nuts....cake...whipped cream. Oh, joy!

Cheers!

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle! I've gone completely off the deep end! I have to put the brakes on this right now. I've overdone the 'legal' foods too much for the past 2 days. We'll talk more in a minute, I have to do something.

Aah, that's better. Unloading all of those numbers feels good. OVER 2200 calories?? Get a grip, chick!!! The good thing is, I drank my gallon of water today, weeha!!

Well, this is it....mini-goal for tomorrow. Back on the no-nut eating and the carbs come from veggies.

Just goes to show, the old habits die hard. 'Nuff said.

Cheers!

I didn't get a chance to log on Fitday today. My son came down with strep and we're awaiting my daughter's throat culture. I'll log it all tomorrow and post then. I know for sure that I couldn't have done as bad as yesterday. I didn't snack as much.

Cheers!

I feel ok about today. I got a bit of exercise today and I'm proud to say, that I actually weigh my sig weight....after the 2 days of indescretion. I can tell you, I won't be doing that again. Consider it a lesson learned. WHEW!

We're going to the Rennaissance Festival tomorrow with the kids. I'm sure that DD is going to love it. I just hope DS is feeling good enough to enjoy himself. He was pretty good today, and he will have had 5 doses of his antibiotic by tomorrow morning. Hopefully it'll really kick in.

Cheers!

UGH, kick me in the butt and call me a SLACKER! I did log my foods in my food journal, but they haven't made it to Fitday for 2 days, yet. I've been soo sleepy today! I think we had like 3 owls roosting on our roof last night. One would hoot and the other two would answer. This went on all blasted night! My daughter was freaked and slept on our floor, whimpering and crying...yes, because of the owls!! So anyway, there's my excuse for no stats for the past 2 days. I'm crawling to bed now, so I can hopefully catch up tomorrow!

Cheers!

OK, it was the first day of TOM, I was out of control. I fell off the wagon and rolled into the ditch, wallowed in the mud and crawled back out again.

Woohoo!!! I'm caught up! I considered just saying F*** it and starting over from today. I couldn't do it, though. I committed to posting every day's stats, and dammit, that's what I'm going to do! Besides, if I didn't post yesterday's stats, you would never know what a little piggy I was!! I don't know how accurate those totals are, but they seem about right. I made up for it today, though. Just before lunch-time, I hurled my breakfast. I'm sure it wasn't from my indescretion yesterday, it felt like a stomach bug. I'm better now, though.

I'm going to try not to get so far behind again. It's been tough, though with sick kids and landscaping going on. OY!

Cheers!
