| Febe-I really do care! Oh, today was such a wonderful fall day. We drove into St. Paul and took the kids to the river. They threw stones into it, and waved at passing boats for about an hour. Then we went and picked out a Cinderella pumpkin for the front step. I'd already purchased a white one and wanted to get an orange one, too. It's sooo cute! I had another successful day of Induction. I'm actually thinking of staying on induction until next Monday. I weigh in tomorrow and am actually looking forward to it. Weird! This is day 9 of induction. I just love how I feel. As I said before, I think I was having some issues...a little carb creep...too much of a good thing. Starting to have some cravings along with a stall/gain. Not no mo!! Woohoo!! Everyone, bow down in front of your television...WHAT NOT TO WEAR is on!! I LOVE this show. If I ever have $5000 to blow on clothes (in your dreams, chick!), I promise to follow the rules!!!! I would give my eye teeth to be on that show!! They can feel free to throw away my clothes and replace them with new ones!!! Especially after I reach goal. Cheers! | Oh, sorrow!!! I hopped on the scale today, all raring to go! Since being on induction for 10 days, I figured, 179 would flash right up on the little LED. Nope, 180.5!?! Grrrrrr(pulling out fistfuls of hair!!). I was not happy to say the least. So, I made my coffee, had a cup, went to put on my rings and they're TIGHT!?! Uh, oh, I'm retaining water! But why??? Oh, it's good ol' TOM again! SURPRISE!!! I love it when my body decides to just do this with no warning, no cramps, no crabbiness, no bloating (until today!). At least I have an excuse and at least it's only 1/2 pound. Soooo, I'm not counting this as an official weight. I'll weigh again next Monday. Shucks! I really wanted to post that lovely 17? number. Ok, I'm going to start posting stats again: Total: 1377 Fat: 102 922 69% Sat: 43 387 29% Poly: 4 35 3% Mono: 34 310 23% Carbs: 35 82 6% Fiber: 14 0 0% Protein: 63 253 19% Alcohol: 12 81 6% Yes, you see alcohol on there. I know beer isn't on induction, but I wanted one and had the carbs there for it, so I did it. Anyway, I'm posting stats again because, the reason I started this journal was accountability. This is a part of my accountability. Now I'm going to be bored on the treadmill for a mile. I'll be back. OK, back. So, what do y'all do when you're putting in your time on the treadmill? Stare at the wall? Watch TV? Listen to music? I look at houseplan books. Goofy I know. I think it's a total blast, tho! Anyway, I'm done with my treadmill-time. Yay! Cheers! | Oy, I really hate TOM, it makes me crazy. I get really depressed during this week. It's just not fair. I'm usually not a depressed/down person. I'd thought I'd dodged the 'downs' because they usually start before my period. Well, they started today. UGH. Great, bloated, depressed and crabby along with TOM. What could be better??? | Hello, my twin! I'm not yet in the market for 'the' dress. I'm hoping to get down a bit farther weight-wise. Plus, I'm hoping to find a cute dress during the holiday season. They get the really cute dresses out then. I am pretty excited, though! Having that carrot dangling out there keeps me motivated, for sure. I have a dress in my closet that I bought about 6 years ago, to wear to a formal party, but we ended up not going. I should run up and see if it fits. SCARY though! Hmmmmm..... OMG! THE DARN THING FIT!!! Now, mind you, my belly is a little flabby, but if I start doing sit-ups now, I think I could wear it to the party. I honestly can't believe I got that dress zipped AND IT FIT, without looking absolutely horrible!!!!!! Ok...day started out really crappy....was made better by the soothing words of my twin....and was sky-rocketed to fabulous by having the 'scary dress' fit!!!! | Here are the stats for today: Total: 1348 Fat: 100 897 67% Sat: 52 468 35% Poly: 8 70 5% Mono: 30 267 20% Carbs: 44 125 9% Fiber: 13 0 0% Protein: 79 315 24% Alcohol: 0 0 0% I know the carbs are high. I know this is induction. The problem is, the calories were extremely low and I didn't want to start feeling hungry, or worse, whiting out because of lack of cals. I'll be better tomorrow, promise! DH is worried that I'm not eating enough. I guess I need to throw a ribeye in there somewhere and get my cals up. I'll be flippin' one on the grill tomorrow for dinner. That should jack up the calorie count. ![]() Oh, I forgot to add...did an hour of Yoga!! Woohoo!!! Cheers! | What are twins for, hmmm? I am so damn excited for you, Jen! I feel like dancing for us... I think I will. BTW, I LOVED my Snoopy dance. I have loved Snoopy since I was 2, still have my stuffed Snoopy. Also, I too enjoy the Food Network. In fact, I'd like to think of Tyler Florence as my boyfriend (hey, this is my fantasy). After Tyler, and the chick who inspires me to cook the most, is Rachael Ray from 30 Minute Meals. I also like $40 a Day despite the tipping controversy. I'm amazed at our similarities- there seems to be a lot of them. I'm really glad we connected here. We've had a couple of interesting days, major highs and lows for both. Didn't get to do my official exercise yesterday. I had to do post-bedtime-routine groceries. DS has decided to enter the Terrible Twos a couple months early and is impossible to shop with. LOL! I'm planning on doing my treadmill tonight, though. I may add some sit-ups, too. I need to get this baggy belly under control. Ah, well...now I need to figure out what's for lunch. I HATE lunch time.
