Hi Kim,

I unintentionally went totally off the diet. I never intended to...Just once I started having something "bad" here and there... it just got out of control. I know now that I HAVE to be vigilant about it. There is no going to back to "regular eating" for me ever.

Hey...here I am, reporting in. I had intended to get up and go to Curves this morning. I got up early enough, but just didn't want to mess with it and was afraid I'd be all sweaty and nasty after and have to go to work like that. (I know...excuses, excuses!) So I cooked a bunch of bacon (for eating through the week) and had 3 pieces (that's turkey bacon too!) and 3 eggs. The bacon says 0 carbs. So I'm figuring 3 carbs total. Eggs at 1.8 and then whatever smidge they aren't counting on the bacon, plus I had about 1/4 c of cheese in the eggs.
OH, and 33.8 oz of water, planning two of those at least.
GO YOU!~h

huh Heather?

Well... did pretty well this weekend considering it was halloween. NOT 1 bit of candy! Ate too much regular food though... went out to eat had steak, salad and veggies. Then went to my moms and she made stir fry.. so I ate that too. = (

I did see 148 this weekend after taking a diuretic... so I'm not changing my sig yet... but I think it will be soon.

Hey Tam. I'm checking in...I ate a bunch of cashews today. :-( I couldn't help it. Man, they are good! I read through your whole journal and mine. Back in FEBRUARY I was all over doing this! it would have been so much easier in the summer! I should have kept strictly to it. I'm frustrated and mad right now, but I refuse to give in. I have 3 more days until that wedding, and then I'm going to have a little of what I shouldn't and jump right back on 11/7.
Remind me again...we can do this...right?

Hey Tammi! So, was today Day 1? I've been off and on for weeks now. Why is it so hard with other people to cook for? How do you do it with the rest of your family eating "regular" food??

I dunno...how it is going to work out. Hopefully I can fix meals that I can eat... just skipping the starchy sides.

I am still nursing so I am going to modify a bit. I will eat brown rice and whole wheat bread.

I also have to skip the whole whipping cream/splenda that got me thru this last time. Gracie is allergic to dairy. I believe she is also allergic to soy... so I may eat only meat and veggies for a while... you would not believe everything that contains soy.

I'm moving your journal back to the first page! I notice if you don't post daily, it goes to the next page. I think because there are some active journalers! That's a good thing!
I just got started today.
How you doin' Tam?

eek! re: not so many products you mentioned in my journal, true! I guess the "fad" kind of wore off, so they aren't cranking out LC everything. It's hard to find here anyway.
I've found milled flax seed (we can get it at the commissary) has same # of carbs as fiber, so I don't measure or count it. I have about 1/4 c of it for bfast sometimes with a splenda coffee pkt (mocha) and it's pretty good. It usually keeps me pretty solidly full until lunch and then I'm not ravenous at lunch.
HANG IN!

Tammi, I read in Heather's journal that you're looking for hot cereal. Can you do whey protein powder? I make my cereal with equal parts whey protein powder, flaxseed meal, and coconut flour (I get mine from Netrition, but you might find it in the hfs.) Keep it in the fridge! Just put some in your bowl, add boiling water for the consistency you like, and eat it! I put sweetener in mine, and use Calorie Countdown milk, but you can eat it any way you like. The coconut flour really swells up, so a little of this mix goes a long way. And if you can't do whey powder, then just use the flaxseed meal and coconut flour. The protein count will be lower, but you get a nice consistency with this cereal, from the coconut flour. Makes it more like real cereal. And it does stick with you for a long time. Lots and lots of fiber in this one. 2 Tbs of flaxseed meal has 4 gms fiber, 4 gms carbs, 0 net (in the Bob's Red Mill brand), and the coconut flour for 2 Tbs has 10 gms carbs, 9 fiber, for 1 net. And you get the good fats from the coconut flour, too. And the omega-3 from the flaxseed meal. Just keep the flaxseed meal in the fridge or freezer - it will go rancid in a hurry!

BTW, I seldom make cheesecake because I could eat the entire thing all by myself at one sitting. Sigh.

re: cheesecake...I know y'all are talking LC, but dh and I saw "cheesecake filling" in a bowl in the refrigerator section at the commissary. We both looked at each other saying, "WHY would they do THAT?? We would buy it and eat it straight out of the bowl!
