| Day 1. Started zoning today. I will check in everyday if possible. For now, I am keeping a food diary on paper, and also using my fitday PC to make sure I am *in the zone*. I am hopeful. alrighty then...

| Hi Shelly, I read your last post in your old journal and rushed right over here to your new journal to ***BLESS YOU OUT***! LOL, All joking aside though I want you to know that the number on your scale don't mean jack sh** to me. You are such a kind and loving person that number means nothing. I know how you feel because I have been going through the same thing and coming up with the same conclusion, maybe Atkins is just not right for me. I am still contimplating that. Anyway, I just want you to know that no matter what woe you choose wheather it be Zone, Atkins or just PIG OUT, I am here to support you. Some days you may choose all 3 and I will still support you. I have no doubt that we can and WILL do this and I have no doubt that we both will need each others help along the way so just don't cut out on me okay? This forum is so much more than about what we are eating. It has been my lifeline more than on one occasion and you have been there for me. So please don't ever feel like you have let people down okay cause WE LOVE YA GIRL! HUGS...Anita |

| Anita, (((hugs)))...thanks for the *Blessing Out*...LOL. Seriously, I have not been happy with myself for quite sometime. I mean, aside from being overweight, I have just felt kinda blah and mostly uninspired. I am feeling better about somethings; can't say I'm happy with myself just yet, but I'm getting there Anyway, the scale was down 1.5 lbs this am, so that did bring a smile to my face The Zone is not going to be easy, but the more I read, the more I truly feel it's the plan for me(I know...I said this about all the other food plans I tried also :o ). In a nutshell, for me anyway, quanity has always been the issue. I mean, if we're having steak for dinner, heck, I want the WHOLE dam* steak...not just 4 measley ounces of the thing! The Zone is very structured with what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat, and at this point, this is what I need. So, I'm VERY hopeful that this will be my new WOE/WOLF. Have I set my goals to unrealistic? I don't know. I only know I am going to do this one meal at a time, one day at a time, one week at a time. I am also trying very hard to *relax* with this and quit stressing and crying everytime I step on the scale and not see a loss. Sooooo......off I go......to the grocery store and then to take a walk if my heel feels better after my motrin kicks in... (((hugs to all my buddies)))...you guys keep me going Shell

| Things are going well, I think. Stayed very much on plan today at work; DH and I went on a dinner date to Steak & Ale. I may have had a couple of ounces more protein than I should have for dinner, but other than that, I ate *very clean* today Just cooked some steel cut oats and turkey bacon for brekkie tomorrow for work, and I've got my lunch put together, so I'm all set I don't feel as puffy and bloated as last week, so hopefully changes are underway...yippee-skippy! alrighty then...

| Awwww shucks, Anita.....thanks for that big ole hug I am doing pretty good, so far, in the zone. It's always a challenge when you have to pack both your breakfast AND lunch...LOL. One of the keys for me will be, cooking ahead for the week; but that's something that everyone should do I think if they really want to stay on track. I am all set for tomorrow; hope to furlough on Friday. I have some sewing to do, so that would be perfect for me. I'm feeling good about this...rolling right along, trying to relax and not stress over the dam* scales alrighty then...

| Tomorrow is weigh in for me...don't know if I will have a loss; I don't feel any difference in the clothes yet. Plan on reading some more of the chapters I haven't got to yet in my Zone book...boy, there is a lot to *digest* in that book! Thankfully, BC is helping and coaching me along...she's such a sweetie I am still journaling in my book and on fitday; don't think I have hit *the zone* just yet, but may be close alrighty then...

| I wish you luck finding the zone! I tried the zone diet years ago and just didn't have the patience for it. I ended up quitting after a few days. But then I didn't have anyone to ask questions to. That would have been a big help! |

| Hey Rob, Glad you stopped by I read for about 2 hours today and still haven't *officially* finished the book. Will read some more this evening. my totals today were pretty good: 1211 cal 51g fat 37% 95g pro 33% 79 net carb 28% I think I'm getting close to the Zone. I felt good today and never really had any hunger. alrighty then...

| I?m just like you Shelley!! Do great for 4 days where I can plan everything.. And then fall apart the next 3!! I hope the Zone works for you!!!! Atkins works Great for me, when I plan.. Just have a hard time on our 3 days off!! Makes me Soooooooooo Mad!!!! Good luck!! Have a Great day!!!

| On my way out the door to work, but.....WOOOOHOOOOO.......(thanks Rob)... the Woooosh fairy made it to OOOOOklahoma...LOL. Down 2 lbs for the week. so total since 10/16 is 3.5 lost!!!! I'm a happy camper more later.....

| Think I'm in the zone! I had a fantastic day. Felt on my game both phycially and mentally; no hunger, life is good My zone may be 35%fat, 33% carb,(net) and 30% pro. alrighty then...

| Well, ratzzz....NOT in the zone today; dunno what happened, but I was hungry almost all day!! :( Perhaps it was due to not enough protein at dinner last night? Looking back, I think I may have miscalculated when I made up the salmon patties. Well, hope to get in the zone again in the morning! I will not give up, give in, or otherwise sabotage myself, dam*it! Take that, evil no-whoosh fairy!!! heh. alrighty then.....

| OK, well did some *re-calculations* and I should be having 9 zone blocks aday, not 12!!!! So that would be about, 63 gm of Protein a day This will be interesting, to say the least...heh. I was up half a pound this morning, due I'm sure to a measley 2 sq inch piece of baby shower cake. I did eat an ounce of cheese to buffer it though. Was over the top with water yesterday at 120 oz! Hopefully my new protein calculations will put me in the Zone! alrighty then.....
