| another milestone. Washed my NEW jeans, dried my new jeans. didn't shrink, as a matter of fact they seem looser than last week ![]() so dug in the back of the closet - where I stuck several pair of jeans I couldn't wear anymore. Wearing one pair today, and not even tight when I am sitting. (usually had to unbutton to breathe if sitting around a while) YEAH!!! new wardrobe, old wardrobe - twice as much!!! I'm packing up my 'sweatpants' - the comfort pants that made it easy to misbehave. Who needs that darn old scale anyhow!!! I may join Barb and Joanna in going to Curves daily - until we leave on vacation. Probably won't make everyday down in FL, but I did scope out a Curves close to where we are staying. I'll do what I can. I've got a meeting with a lot of my clients on 3/18. Haven't seen most of them since last October (do everything on phone and computer). Would really like to have a different look by that time. gotta go for now. been good today so far. B- couple hb eggs, couple slices bacon S - yellow pepper slices (1 whole) L - canned salmon (love it), with lemon juice (squirt) gonna have 1/2 cup fresh strawberries for snack. | Yesterday seemed to be out of control. Started out okay at Curves, with measurement day. but work is starting to pick up again (YEAH!!!) and there is just to much to do before vacation. So, had a tendency to take shortcuts, but still continue with the rest. and have a couple too many 'treat' items. Ran up to 47/35 carbs, and am out of ketosis (per stick). just been out of control for a few days, and need to get back on track. Yesterday - B - 2 eggs, 2 bacon S - adkins shake, celery, cream cheese L - turkey slices, olives, strawberries w/cream S - endulge bar(mint) D - strip steak, mushrooms, brocolli/cheese S - large yellow pepper BAD,BAD - had another Adkins bar so, just a little isn't enough. I still have tendency to over do. (not a lot, but seeing a bad habit creeping in again) so, back to square one for a couple days. Going to do induction level just to get the feel of control back to life. been slacking on the walking too. just feeling achy and not up to it. Stress level, I'm sure. | today is going better. did my 2mile walk at lunchtime. Feel really good about it. Maybe I can manage that - don't seem to be able to face it first thing in the morning, and evenings are tied up with everything else. feels SOOOO good to do that and then take a nice hot shower. I keep forgetting how good it feels. so. today is at induction level. eating my 'green' peppers with my turkey slices for lunch. had eggs/bacon for breakfast. going to have a mid day salad, NO MORE SHAKES. NO MORE BARS. (that is adkins bars - but I also need to stay out of them too). | did pretty good today. by Fitday, hit 20 net carbs on the dot. Yeah. Doing this for just a day or two. til I get pink again. B - 2 egg/2 bacon s - celery/cream cheese L - turkey/1 green pepper D - 2 c. broccoli salad (w celery/radishes), roast beef S - spice tea w/spenda/heavy cream did 2 mile walk at lunch. Did the beginning of the BD tape = couldn't get very far into it - only managed warmup and some hand stuff. Tomorrows another day. and still gotta do the **** taxes. | how'd the morning start? -- posted in OWL - posted 02-20-04 09:22 AM ------------------------------------------- I'm not complaining about the WOE, I love the way I feel, and yes the inches are coming off - BUT -- it is just driving me crazy seeing all the people who joined around the time I did being at 15-20 or more lbs lost by this time. and I am STUCK! I lost the first 8-10 lbs in the first 2 weeks - ending week 7 and absolutely nothing since then. I'm so glad for everyone, and don't begrudge it. BUT IT IS FRUSTRATING and I can't help it. I can deal with cravings, I can deal with temptation - I'm just so jealous some times. How do you deal with that? -------------------------------------------- just posted too early, and didn't get much response. Otherwise, was a good busy day with work.and got my taxes to the point where I am ready. Have been working on getting my carbs UP - I'm averaging about 27 this week. made my own little spreadsheet with what I needed. I post the numbers from fit-day everyday and average it for the week. B- m-cerealw/strawberries - 1/2 y pepper S- almond muffin w/bberry jam (just wanted) L- turkey chef salad/little cheese/ ranch dressing S-adkins shake D-cheeseburger w/green beans S- 2 eggs yes, it was a 'grazing' day. but I stuck with the allowed foods. and I peeked at the scale this morning. | Your glacier made me LAUGH loudly! It's sooo cute. I agree that it's so hard when you're stuck and it seems like everyone else is moving ahead with no problems. Remember that your body is your own wonderful, unique creation and it will do what it wants, regardless of what you think it should be doing! Congrats on all the good work you've been doing and I'm sure the glacier is moving...just not in obvious ways! |

| Saturday morning. had M-cereal and some blueberry jam(lc) mixed in. really good. weighed (not supposed to but needed to see) Lost a pound!!! down to 218!! ![]() Went to Curves, 'jogged' in place. Have been afraid to jog or run since the ankle surgery. so very happy about that. still early Saturday - lots to do but I am up to it. | been a busy day. did a lot of pre-vacation errands - had to help DH check stuff on the truck, trailer, and MC. haven't done very well with water today. did okay on food. We went to TGIFridays for dinner - had the cheeseburger/cheeseburger - but still have the second cb for tomorrow. (if a kid doesn't eat it) finished the last little muffin - don't intend to buy anymore until I get down to the 20#s. its my reward, but still locarb treat. | not much to report - since not weighing in until 3/19. I've been doing well on getting the carbs up , but yesterday couldn't deal with it. Got a cold - drank lots and lots of cold water - but couldn't manage the veggies I need. And had to have some OJ. took just 1/2 a cup. not the right carbs, but helped get some extra in. I have such a lovely bouquet of scents around me today. Vicks, BenGay, and sunless tanning lotion. snapped something in my back last night reaching for a door. felt it pop - have a bengay patch on, going to go find a heat pad. this should be a LOVELY 17 hr trip in 2 days. I would so prefer to take my little SUV than the truck, but we are trailering. so back seat is full of luggage, and Im not going to get to stretch out much. -maybe if it's warm enough, I'll just lay in the truck bed have decided to take a look at the SBD - maybe it would fit me better. I know I need to keep the low-carb lifestyle - it has improved so much for me. But I prefer the lower fat meats and condiments, and I am wanting more fruit than I should be having. Got the book and will get my mindset - but not going to change anything until after the 3/19 weigh, and my 3/25 physical. | boy, I haven't been here in a Month. and last one was a cold report. This time, it is killing me. I start to think it is subsiding a little - and wham. I spent most of the night up with a sore throat (hurts so bad to swallow), and my mouth is on fire with several cold sores. I look like I am in a permanent frown - can't smile at all. and DS has his new girlfriend in to meet. She is going to think I am a grouch!!! not eating right yesterday and today. Can't get anything in my mouth, and hurts too much to swallow anyhow. If it is still this bad Monday, going to see the Dr -somehow. I'm supposed to have my blood work done Thursday. did manage a LC root beer float (felt so good). A&W diet rootbeer and one spoon of LC vanilla ice cream. kept it in a half glass. can't eat salad - but do have celery and peppers I can 'slip in'. Definitely getting the water. It's the only thing that feels good. Ice Cold on the throat. Can't even cheat on a popsicle to make my throat feel better - cold sores keep me from opening my mouth. still afraid to exercise - any push and I go into coughing fits. ok. I just needed a place to whine and vent. I"M SO TIRED OF THIS!! Definitely will be seeing the Dr tomorrow.

| Done whining. Feeling much better now! Goals for this week (and beyond...) Use Fitday, every day. Track that eating. (25-30 c/day) M T W T F S S Curves - T, W, F this week Other - Pilates - start Walking - restart M T W T F S S LCE - check once in the morning, and then only in the evening. I have to stay off during the day. M T W T F S S Water - 5 25 oz bottles - daily M T W T F S S

| As usual, just horrible about coming here to track things. however, got my physical results back. looks good. Total chol 168 HDL 46 LDL 99 Tryg 113 blood sugar 87 ratio 3.66 ekg was normal (after she finally took my watch off) Health is good. Seeing the pulmonary guy in May - still unbelievable that the asthma has cleared up so much. Today - did curves and Mystic Tan. the tan was strange. they were supposed to have nose plug/filters but they didn't. First response when the spraying hits is to breathe. Was blowing crap out my nose the rest of the day. But it works, the unpigmented areas are blending in nicely with the tan. I will need to keep this up, but learn to do it better. this week has sucked at work. lost my main computer hard drive - hoping they can get some of the data back (backup was mid Feb). then our 'team' let go of a guy who hasn't been working out - but would cause me a lot more work than I can handle - but he's asked for another chance. hope it works out for him, but it's questionable. just doesn't do things the way we need him to.

| Thought I would visit my journal again. I just stay away too long. It is absolutely beautiful here. I wanted to do a little yard work, but needed to go shopping (Target) and study for my class next week. So DH is doing it all. Makes me feel guilty, but I just can't work well with him and just end up frustrated. I know we talked about tiling the kitchen floor, and it would be more expensive to have it done professionally - but it will be cheaper than a divorce. He tries so hard to please me but all it does is aggravate me cause he makes me feel guilty. oh well, got some new workout clothes - but have to hem them. got them in the normal area instead of the WOMENS - YEAH!!! and a pair of jammies in L, not XL.

| was making up some HB eggs last night and wanted to make them fun (I am taking a couple with me in my little lunch bag to class) Picked up some egg coloring from after easter and decided to go with the pink/blue - the pink was too light, so put in red foodcoloring. I had such a nice patriotic easter egg pallette. Bright Blue, Bright Red. I left them in a little long, cause I wanted really dark colors. Took one of each color with me. Unfortunately, I spent the afternoon in class with bright red and blue hands!!!! Think I'll peel them at home for any more days I will be taking...... oops.
