gym has a broken pool heater, so havn't been there in 3 weeks, need to get my you know what in gear and go anyway and do something.

missing that in my life...

I am not doing well with food at all, I can't wait for the holidays to be over with, and there will be no temptations (yes there will be, but not as many as have been around me these past two weeks and coming up with the next three weeks)
but january 1st is my day to start over on induction for about two to three weeks...am looking forward to it....My gym finally got the pool back in order, and i have been there three times this week, got out of the habit of getting up at 5:30 and have to re-orient my self to that time again.... DH is going to check out an agency that helps disabled people find jobs... would be nice to have him working a little every week (of course the money will be nice also) but he needs to be doing something to help with his bi polar depression....got to be hard being home all day with "nothing" to do (of course he always has a list from me of chores, but that isn't the same as a "job")
this week has been party central, two on tuesday, two today, one tomorrow and one on sunday .....I have done 1/2 good, ie will eat one or two good meals then cave into temptations....luckily I don't keep that stuff at home, so it isn't there, but there is tons of cookies, candy, snack food around the office these days....
Trying to not guilt myself, being gentle and kind, but come january, my b_tt is going to be in gear... I have a new journal to help me keep track of food and emotions, (havn't had a written journal in 25 years and used to keep one always...) so I am looking forward to that journey.
guess thats enough for now.

Hey, C. Just try to hang in there. My s-i-l seems determined to ruin our holidays....so, I'm doing my share of hanging in, too.

I had been hit or miss in my eating. Nothing major....either too busy to eat, or having a few Oreos 'cuz I'm too busy (lazy) to cook anything. No worries....I'm NOT gonna go crazy like I did last year.

When the New Year starts....we need to start planning the Texas get-together. Something for spring, when the weather is mild, LOL!

Have a wonderful holiday, Carolyn.

Carolyn - I'm right there with you come New Years Day. Got to get my act together in 2006. 2005 ( at least the last 6 months) was pretty bad. I smell a challenge - "Not your typical New Years resolution challenge".

Rob, the only one I am challenging is me.... to eat on track, and get in my exercise... but I might be willing to start a new challenge thread....I know it is going to be one day at a time at first, after the first couple of weeks, .... maybe at least a 100 day challenge is in the works... maybe a 365 day challange lol....

yes maxi, I do want to revive the texas get together... spring is a wonderful time, maybe we can all meet somewhere and have a picnic....mmm every one bring a different lc food....mmmm that might really be great....
we will have time in the spring to get it together.

I am so ready for these holidays to get over... only because of the food issues I am having... I love this time of the year, I love the decorations, the joy, the gathering of different groups of people to share time with each other....I am looking forward to our christmas eve gathering... sat down last night to see who might be coming and came up with about 50 people (if they all come....)
but since it is open house.. they willl come and go , and come and go....

Hi, Carolyn. You have open houses where people come and GO? When I have one, people come and STAY! But we still have lots of fun, anyway.

Looking forward to your challenge thread.

queen, well with it being christmas eve and there are other people having gatherings and some of my friends like to go to more than one party....some of course stay the whole night, some come for a little while then go home for their own family gathering...etc... it is usually fun and lot of great fun, we are a music crowd so usually there is live folk music going on....c
