C-how's the hubster doing? You're right, your carbs/calories probably did even out. I've had that "brick in the stomach" thing and I think I would've felt better if I HAD thrown up!

I guess the Waco thing is on hold for the time being. Our main "moneyman" investor-type guy wants to start a business in Austin. What kind of business do you think Austin might need? I'm asking this on the premise that it is good to find a need somewhere, then fill it. Like if you found a little town that had NO Avon lady...you could do a great business there! Just think on it and let me know when you get time. I know you are concentrating on hubby right now.

    Take care!

Tks maxi for stoping by, hubster is home (surgury on friday home on sunday...), he is in some pain, but ok to lounge around the house - from bed to recliner the dr said, walk around the house, dont bend, if youdrop something leave it there.... so, I got some lunches ready for him to either throw together (ham and cheese sand) or micro wave quickly - tortilla soup, split pea soup.) so he and the dogs will be happy today....
I got a 1-1/2 hour massage on saturday from one of my best buddies, and sailed thru him cominghome yesterday without any problems.

Know what you mean about wishing I had thrown up, stomch finally feels better, still a little tender, boy that was some bug ....

MMM have to think of something austin could use....
I didn't do too bad this weekend, friday night ate good,
saturday, ate good, but got some icecream ... real icecream
sunday not bad, egg for breakfast, lunch 1/2 of an arbys sandwich, split with dh, dinner was made by our neighbors - chicken, grilled yellow and zukini squash and spinach, cukes and sour cream.
desert - sf jello with a little cool whip (she made it and at least made it with
    sf jello)

gonna start another 100 days cheat free (our vacation starts in a month so that will be interesting), but I have to get on track for more than 5-7 days at a time.

    catch ya later

week has been ok so far, got rid of the icecream in the freezer so it won't be calling me, today I might start the 100 days cheat free, so far, eggs, with a little cheese, and a slice of ham for breakfast, and 1 slice of lc bread with cream cheese.
    Coffee, cream, and splenda,
2 quarts of water and water aerobics this am...
jazzercise at lunchtime and I have some
lettuce, roast beef, yogurt, strawberries, and some grapes and a little watermelon for lunch,
Dinner will be chicken and some cauliflower with a little sour cream on it.
    salad
having to deal with cooking since dh had surgury last week, hate having to come home at 6 pm and start dealing with food.... I know he will heal and start cooking soon.... he is such a helper.... i miss it when he isn't feeling well.

Been almost a week, and I am again trying to keep myself from eating things I shouldnt. I have pretty much cleaned out my house of no=no foods, and take my lunches and breakfasts to work, so I am keeping those things under control, dinners havn't been bad, not sure what my problem is....yesterday I ate popcorn, and last night some real potato chips....
while I knew I shouldn't, both times the foods tasted good, and just continued
eating them .... Wish I would get sick when I eat those things,... not me, it never bothers me when i go off plan and eat something I shouldn't.... constitution of a rock....lol....
anyway, today is a new day, as is everyday, I swam this am, forgot to bring my hard boiled eggs for breakfast, almost stopped and got something I shouldn't but I didn't, remembered I had some eggs and sausage in the freezer at work.... so I was saved....salad with ham, feta, cukes, artichoke hearts, almonds for lunch.... snack am was 1/2 banana, and afternoon snack is 7 strawberries....
dinner is steak with my lc green bean cassarole....
need to add another veggie in there.... maybe some more salad
not getting tired of this woe, but maybe I need to experiment with different foods.... getting stuck in a rut....maybe get a cookbook to see what other things I can eat.....

Carolyn - Yes definitely a new low carb cookbook! Do you own George Stella's Livin' Low Carb? an excellent book. Also Dana Carpender has a book called The Low Carb Barbecue Book. Lots of recipes for rubs and bbq sauces. I mean now that it's cooking out season.

Rob, I do love george's show and try to watch it, and have seen alot of his recipes there....so dh's birthday is coming up maybe I will buy him a new cookbook....hahaha (he is so skinny....) anyway, LOL give him the cookbook so he can cook foods for me to eat.... not sure if I can get away with that.,..
    but gonna try....

Maxi I open a can of green beans, a can of mushrooms and put in a handful of those french fried onions....cook together and evaporate most of the water, then add a tablespoon or two of heavy cream mix together and add a little more of those onions, and eat.... quick easy, and don't have to wait for it to bake, and you don'thave to use the soup which is so salty, and carby....

Made it thru yesterday with flying colors, onward to today....

After a week from h_ll, starting with dh going to hospital sunday night (monday morning like at 12:30am) because he was having chest pains...(he is ok, just needed to have his meds adjusted - ususally happens about every 3-4 years)

couldn't get it taken care of with his nitro pills, so off we go, I stayed till 3am, when they said they would keep him.... went home, slept, went to work, left early to see
    what was up with him...
tuesday he comes home... no gym on tuesday,
    wed I went to gym....
    no gym thurs, fri,
sat my hour water aerobics, and hour water volley ball...
work was crazy, jazzercise instructor thinks when you pay her for an hour she can give us 45 min and we should work with her on it.... ???? so not signing up for next month, will do my own thing...
it was just a drain of a week, food wise, I didn't do to bad, I was actually down an lb from the last time I weighed(that was this morning)

weekend was housey stuff, laundry, cooking, shopping, etc. al, and bagging up a large avon order for customers....

day two of eating on plan today....

rob, after 20+ years together, and he had his first heart attact when he was 28 before we got together, it is something that is part of our life, dont' think of it being scarry or frightening, just take him to the hospital where they can take care of him better than I can....
one does get a little anxious when it seems like forever before they let you know what is happening....
but about every 3-4 years he has his meds adjusted,... guess it was time.

he is doing great this week so far, his birthyday is today but we are celebrating tomorrow....
    tks for stopping by.

Hey, C...how are you doing? Seems like you are keeping up with the house and business in spite of the hubby/heart incident. Day 2 on plan....good for you. I'm up 3 pounds and hacked about that.

I guess we won't be moving after all, but I hope we can still meet in person one day.

Hey Maxi, this week I am doing much better, last week I think I made it to the gym for 3 hours instead of 9 the week before... but my body needed rest and thats what I did for it... DH is doing well, yesterday was his birthday, and he grilled some salmon and I made coleslaw to go with it... tonite we are meeting some friends at a wonderful oriental restaurant ... but today was my two work out day (water aerobics in am jazzercise at lunch) so even if I eat a little more it should be ok....

food wise, yesterday did great, today so far again great...so three days on week of eating clean.

still want to do a master cleanser fast... might do it starting tomorrow or over the weekend and do for 3-5 days before we go on vacation on the 3rd of june (we have a time share at lake conroe, north of houston), be there till the 8th, then home for an avon banquet on the 9th, then to the kerrville folk fest for the last of three weekends... dh and I were volunteers some 20 years ago at the fest and met there, so... last year was the first year in 10 years we went, and are looking forward to going again this year.

Maxi, i would love to get together with you and maybe your hubby, we will have to plan something for maybe mid-end june, july....
if not then wait till the fall... but I would love to meet you....

egg salad for breakfast with 1 slice lc bread, grilled salmon and coleslaw for lunch, small amount of my flax seed tort. chips before my jzzercise class...
eating good... I do have an apple on my desk if I need a snack,
almost have my 3 quarts of water in, hoping for a 4th today....
then I will be on track.

I am seeing a movement in the scale....for the first time in 5 months....I had gained a few during the thanksgiving/christmas/newyear/birthday (nov/dec/jan) holidays and have been sitting at the same weight since january, and finally see movememt.... yea... must be that 2 extra hours of
workouts this month with jazzercise... ...

still not back to my signature weight, but will get there soon, I can tell...

    thats it for now....

day four of week on plan challenge.... yesterday was good, maybe a little more protien, but we went to an oriental rest. for dh birthday, no rice, no egg rolls, some hot and sour soup, some kung pau chicken, prawns, garlic shirmp,
broccoli, celery, beef/broccoli.... was good, might have eaten a little too mmuch but it sure was good.
today egg salad with lc bread for breakfast
today is our employee lunch - usually we bring our lunches, and desert is provided, so I looked into the freezer and found a piece of cheese cake from my birthday that I froze for this reason, and brought it for my lunch....
lunch will be either a chef salad with ham, egg, tomato, ... or
a sandwich with lc bread, ham, lettuce, tomato, pickle,
also some cole slaw, and maybe some orange or apple...
got in 3+ quarts of water in yesterday, working on it again today...
trying to get in at least one fruit a day, maybe two...
and at least 3 servings of salad/ veggies....
been doing good this week feel on top of my food choices....
