A little something to entertain visitors;

A little old lady goes to the doctor and says, "Doctor I have this problem with gas, but it really doesn't bother me too much. My farts never smell and are always silent. As a matter of fact, I've farted at least 20 times since I've been here in your office. You didn't know I was farting because they don't smell and are silent."

The doctor says, "I see, take these pills and come back to see me next week."The next week the lady comes back. "Doctor," she says, "I don't know what the heck you gave me, but now my farts...although still silent...stink terribly."

The doctor says,

"Good!!! Now that we've cleared up your sinuses, let's work on your hearing."

Went to my dad's for a couple of hours yesterday. otherwise It was a do absolutely nothing day. ate too many calories due to walnuts but my carbs were actually a little low
(about 40). but that's a good thing since i want to get rid of the potato bloat. I'll try to do the same today and keep under 40. but yesterday was dreary and rainy and foggy, when it wasn't raining. so i didn't walk sunday and it's raining today too. Not as much though. Maybe I can walk between the raindrops now that I've lost so much weight. lol

If you think not then probably not. LOL

Febe; Thanks for the weather improvement wishes, it turned warme and dry today and it's expected to be in the low 70's.

Here's a funny paragraph from maddog on the food pyramid:

The food pyramid, for those of you who have been too busy sucking the cream out of your Twinkies to pay attention, is the good old Four Food Groups on steroids. They change these guidelines periodically. Before there were four groups there were seven. Prior to that there were twelve. In 1916 there were five, and a long, long time ago there was just one: pond scum. Luckily we’ve progressed since then. Well, all except vegans. LOL
(With apologies to vegans who may read this.)

Here's the link if you want to pursue it. Don't do it on my account though.

http://www.maddogproductions.com/ds_food_pyramid.htm

Well I walked yesterday despite the rain and cold weather because I figured if I can't walk in those conditions, what will I do in december, January and february. 4 miles!

ate good yesterday. Made beef fajitas for lunch and beef and cabbage with cheese for dinner.
That uses up the last of the small eye round roast i cooked day before yesterday. Thank goodness. Tonight I'm cooking a whole chicken because I'm trying to get my freezer cleaned out for a turkey. Not that I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner but everyone has turkeys so cheap in november that I want to get one and save it for cooking during a snow storm (if we get one this year). I think we're due for a harsh winter. We've skated the last 3 years.

Thanks Febe- hope your halloween was successful, (whatever that means to you).

Another week another nothing. Lost nada pound this week despite walking 28 miles.
worried that maybe it's time to cut back a tad on my calories or carbs. my averages for the week were only slightly higher than normal but not enough to account for a 0 loss. I over bought veggies this week because of a real good sale. It'll be a race to see who gets more - me or the trash bin. I was going to make some cauliflower today but then remembered my dad's birthday. So once again i was so hungry by the time I got home (didn't eat the cake, chips, or dip) that i made a big salad with roast beef and cheese rather tahn cook. I might give myself a half an apple later as a treat.

I don't know how to do the graphic thing. I know I've had ample opportunity to learn but I guess i'm lazy.

HOORAY FOR ROB!!
Lost 2 pounds this week for a total loss since 2/15/03 of 69 pounds. 9 pounds to lose to meet the Christmas challenge. I CAN DO IT!! OR NOT?

Average calories for the previous week = 1978.
Average Net carbs were 42.

after having no loss last weeka nd 1/2 a pound the week before I decided to mix things up a bit. So instead of cutting calories I reduced my carbs by a few and gave up half and half in favor of carb countdown milk. It only saves me 40 calories a day but I find high fat dairy foods like cream, half and half and some cheeses slow my loss. Don't know why but it's becoming more and more an absolute in my woe.
Cheese 2 ounces a day. half and half - rarely. Heavy cream and cream cheese - holidays only.
walked 22.4 miles this past week, which is a bit less than I've been doing. But walking will slow now that the colder weather is here. Didn't walk yesterday but will walk today. Am going to try to walk 4 days a week even in the dead of winter and even if it's only half hour.
Soon I'll have to pick an indoor exercise - aerobic and/or strength training. Now that my weight is close to 240 I think I can handle more physical exercises than walking without injuring a seriously bad back. we shall see.

Give it a try!!!

http://lowcarbeating.infopop.cc/images/25club.gif

Put this [ img ] in front and this [ /img ] in back of the above.. Leave no spaces anywhere inside the tag, or between the tag and your image address. I put spaces here, so you can see it without the board trying to convert it to an image.

I can’t do it for you or the image will come up..

Click on control panel at the top left side of home page.. Go down page until you come to
Signature: There is a box across from it.. Put the above in that box.. And hit submit & it should work!! Good Luck!!!

Come on!!! Give it a try!!!

Febe
Thanks!
After I wrote that about not knowing how I looked it up and saw it was pretty easy. So now it's part of my signature.

Shelley
Thanks for the faith in me and encouragement.
I might be able to do it but it's gonna be close I think. should be within a couple pounds either way. But given my Obsessive compulsive behavior I should do it. Now it's your turn!
