| Only once did I have an animal that I went looking for. It was a cat, my son's cat, and it didn't want anything to do with me. It did love to sleep curled between the legs of my old pooch, just like Sophie and Splenda do. My two mutts live here because... 1) I was in the wrong place at the wrong time 2) No body else wanted them 3) I wear a sign that says "Sucker for animals" on my forehead. My old dog, who looks a little like Sophie, is the best darn dog I've ever had. The pup is another story. At least he's finally housebroken and likes to come in my room and lay down next to my bed. But as soon as I'm not looking, he's chewing on a sock or whatever he can get in his mouth. Hopefully, he'll grow out of that stage. Come to think of it, my old dog chewed up the legs on my kitchen furniture when he was a pup.

| Kim - No ya got it wrong, really!!! At night I turn the heat off and gather the animals in my bedroom and put on an electric heater. Why should i heat my whole drafty old condo when I can just heat 160 sq feet of it. Okay there have been times on really cold nights when I woke up in the morning to 50 degrees in the living room. But I'm tough. Melissa - Soft touch must be stamped on my forhead. I have never gone looking for an animal. Every animal i ever ahd was either headed for the animal shelter, a stray, or just neglected by the old owner. SEE ME IN MY NEW JOURNAL! Last edited by Rob; 01-03-2005 at 09:50 PM. |
