Hi I am Mattie and I decided today to start a journal for myself. Maybe this will help keep me in line if I post. I am currently doing the South Beach way of life. I try not to use the word diet, because I am working on correcting eating habit I seem to keep falling back to. My comfort food is sweet anytime I feel tired, stressed or bored I eat them. My cravings have long gone, but I don't have to crave sweets to eat them. I finally kicked my regular soft drinks and now I can enjoy drinking diet drinks except for Crystal Light, I still don't care for it. I really prefer things with Splenda so my favorite it Diet Rite. I am also going to try to use FitDay. I've tried to use it before and didn't find it user friendly. So far today my eats were:
B: coffee & 2 eggs with 1/2 cup cc
L: LowCarb burger from Burger King
S: Orange
D: Baked Chicken & green beans
S: Carbsmart fudge bar

Welcome to the journalling. It really seems to help me stay on track. Good luck, The sweets are a weakness of mine too. Thank God for Splenda.......

Well I haven't written in my journal since March 20th, I am going to try to do better! Over all I am slowly getting back to my old habits, which were exercising 4-5 days a week and eating in moderation. A few to many knee surgeries hampered my exercising and my eating went off the deep end too. I am fine and healthy now and have no one to blame but myself for not getting back into shape. Today's eats are:
B-oatmeal & coffee
S-nuts and water
L-chicken Enchilada (made low-fat/low-carb)
with a Diet Dr. Pepper
I am making a low carb shake for dinner
I did cheat and have 2 mini chocholates today-I am working on this!
