Got a two mile walk in and it is getting colder. Hope the snow misses us again. Have wanted to graze tonight but have contained it to one string cheese. Hope that stops the urge.

Have some stuff to do for work so will have to cut this short tonight. Keeping a journal does seem to help me stay on target. Joined the FitDay.com yesterday. Will be glad to see the weight loss on a chart.

Snow has caused my trip to Fayetteville to be cancelled -- not got a lot here yet though. Today I went to lunch with coworkers at Golden Corral. I did really well, but it was hard to see what all they ate. I had baked chicken, steamed squash with a small amt of butter, and some sugar free jello. And about 40 oz. of water. Have not gotten any walking in today, but plan on riding the exercise bike for a while when I watch television. Hope we do not get much snow -- really enjoy walking outside the best. If we get enough snow that I don't work tomorrow, I think I will try a recipe for chicken and dumplings. Will taste good on a wintry day.

    Hi Slatelee,

FitDay is a great tool. It has really helped me stay on track.

I've also been watching the weather. I'm in SC and thought we would surely be safe from snow, but upper SC got about 2 inches. For me that is a lot.

Try and stay warm. Keep up the good work. You are doing real well.

    CrazeeKat,
I ended up with enough snow to get the day off from work. Long weekend woohoo! I have a sister and her family who live in SC. They ended up with about 10 inches. Her husband was out in it last night taking pictures because it is very rarely that they get that kind of accumulation. This system has really dumped alot of snow.

Off from work today, and planning on doing some cooking. I find that I do better if I have time to prepare the food myself. Today's menu is chicken and dumplings (new recipe given to me by someone who owns a LC store). If it is any good, I will post it in the food area.

Too much snow outside to get a good walk in -- will have to ride the exercise bike. May can burn some calories shovelling some snow too -- Supposed to warm up this weekend. May just wait and let it melt......

Finally had a normal bm this morning. Have been drinking tons of water and added a little extra yesterday. Guess that tells me more water, more water, more water. I have been drinking around 104 ounces and yesterday I got in about 120 ounces. Am going to shoot for the 120 ounces going forward. Chug chug.

Chicken and dumplings?! Wow, please let me know how it turns out. I haven't had chicken and dumplings in a long, long, LONG while.
Now I know why I get hungry after reading your journal!!! Let me see...first it was the meatloaf, peanut butter cookies and now the chicken and dumplings.

    Stay warm and "chug chug."

Chicken and dumplings were okay. The dumpling part was a little disappointing, but the rest was good for a cold day.

Have enjoyed the day out of the office. Have just finished a tough online exam. Whew! Can't wait to get the grade back.

Our snow is practically melted. I will get to go walking outside today... Will be going shortly and hope to walk a long one. The sun is shining (breezy but beautiful).

My cats are glad. When we have snow that get really upset and refuse to go outside at all. Can't say that I blame them. I actually heard some of the children in the neighborhood outside playing a bit ago. Bet they are thankful for another day out of school. It is getting to the point, I am not sure how they will ever make up those days.

Weigh in comes in the morning. Here's hoping and praying that there's a loss. Maybe if I get an extra long walk in it will help. Have got 86 ounces of water so far for today -- gotta keep chugging.

Now that I have hit the 30 lbs gone for good mark, I am going shopping today to see if I can find a couple of things to supplement my baggy look. Gonna check out clearance fixture at Catherines and maybe a consignment shop a coworker told me about. Really do not want to spend a bunch, but need a few things for work. Also, a smaller bra.......

Well, no luck finding work clothes.. Did find a deal on some shorts. New shorts from last summer at Catherine's -- After discount got them for $2 a pair. Wow! 2x's (of course they have elastic waist band) -- but hey, I'm getting there. Found a shirt (1x!!!!) that goes with one pair. Still need to find some work clothes. May have to pull out the sewing machine and see if I can take up some things.

Went to eat at Cracker Barrel. Got the grilled chicken salad. Removed the tomato, croutons, and part of the onion. Stayed lc and had lots of water!

Went to WeightoGo and found some goodies. CarbSense bake mixes, corn bread mix, chocolate cake mix. Also got another bag of the Gram's Gourment Cinnamon pork skins. The lady there is so nice and supportive. She wanted to know how much weight I had lost. Said she could really tell it in my face.. She has lost 90 + lbs herself, so she is not just saying the words. She has been very helpful in sharing tips. Today she suggested using the Egg Beaters (spicy mexican) with the corn bread mix and it tastes like Mexican cornbread then.

Gotta go get the walking in still -- have done some walking shopping, but need that quicker pace.

Only got a mile in today.

Tried the pizza using the 3c tortilla as the crust. Put 8 slices pepperoni 0c, 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese 1c. Was very filling and tasty.

Am now drinking carbcountdown chocolate milk with 2T heavy whipping cream and nuked in the microwave.

Have gotten 124 oz water in today. Chug chug.

It is a beautiful day outside and inside. Lost another pound. I try to not weigh every day, but today I am glad I did --- Weighed twice to make sure I was not seeing things. Cool stuff.

Heading to the park this afternoon. Exercise, Exercise.

Have almost 60 oz water so far. Should down a lot while I am at the park. Summertime should see a smaller me!!!!!

Didn't make it to the park. Only got 1.5 miles in -- better than nothing I suppose. Did well with eating today. No cheats. Have read the threads about spaghetti squash (something I have never tried). Sounds interesting. May have to give it a try. Also, did not make it to HFS to pick up chasteberry, but it is on my list to do at lunch tomorrow.

Did get caught up with one of my online classes today. Have a major unit quiz in the other this week. Need to study, study, study.

Have had 144 oz of water today. I slosh when I walk. Squish, squish.

Did a clean sweep on a couple of my kitchen cabinets today too. Wow, I never used to have this much energy. Thanks LC lifestyle....

Well it is the first day of a new month. I hope to lose at least 10 pounds this month. Started a walking challenge today and plan on walking an average of two miles each day for a total of 62 miles for the month. Got two miles in today. 60 still to go. Have done well with the water today. Have chugged 146 oz. Tried an O'soLo Bun this evening - 3carbs, with Steakumm and a slice of mozzarella cheese. Had a side of cauliflour (mock potato) salad. The cauliflour salad turned out really well.
For lunch had grilled chicken and green beans. For breakfast had an Atkins Shake. Also had an Atkins bar for a mid morning snack. I know from having read other threads, that sometimes these stall weight loss, but I have not had any problems with it. Nice and convenient.

    Hi Slatelee,
You are doing so well with your walking and congratulations on the weight loss.

I've tried the spaghetti squash once but I don't think I prepared it correctly. If you find a way to prepare it and it tastes decent, let me know. Right now, I've been so busy that I haven't been able to do much cooking.

I am sure you will lose the 10lbs this month. Keep up the good work.
