LOL@Cynthia and Melissa

It was too warm with the light jacket I was wearing so i took it off. I think because i was walking in the sun it felt more like 70.

Sunny - I've been coming to this website nearly 2 years. We will get to know you better as time goes by and you'll get to know us better too!

Much colder today but i walked 2 1/2 miles at the lake anyway. Now that was cold with 15 mph winds gusting.

Kim - I guess you get aclimatized to whereever you're currently living. I spent 5 winters in upstate New York, not even far upstate but far enough that walking a mile in january was life threatening.

Gregg - Yes I e-filed but almost every penny is accounted for with some bill or the other. But at least those bills will be paid. One less thing to think about.

Lori - I wear a light winter jacket around here. In New York I had a below the knee wool overcoat that i wore every winter. Might even need a sweater under that. But tehn again in NYC I didn't have a car so a 1/2 mile walk to the subway was mighty cold. Here I drive everywhere. You don't have to get out of your car to mail a letter, use a pay phone, or drop off/pick up dry cleaning. The good part of this is that if I do walk in cold weather the lake is nearly deserted.

Yesterday In 39 degree weather I walked 2 1/2 miles. Wouldn't have been so uncomfortable if the wind wasn't blowing in my face at 15 mph. wore a sweater and a winter jacket so it was mostly above the neck I was freezing.

Thanks Carolyn And April!

Hi April - nice to see you back around the forums.

Kim - Yes I had to take yesterday off from walking. It's just too cold. Probably won't get to walk until the middle of next week. They are now predicvting an inch to three inches of snow but then turning to sleet or worse an ice storm. Take advantage of your good weather and get out there and walk!

That's an old saying and boy was the sky red at sunrise today. Yes we are going to get it bad today. Blort!

Not at all Shell, in fact I posted in your journal before I saw you ahd posted here.

IT"S SNOWING HARD!!!!

right now and sticking. I love to watch it snow as long as I don;t have to drive any place. I am cancelling evening plans but that's fine. I am sitting at my computer watching the snow fall because the computer chair faces the window. So all I have to do is look over the top of my computer. Lovely. It's accumulating fast. Only been snowing an hour and already there's half an inch on my car. The funnest part is I get to watch the people try to make it up the steep hill that is right outside my window. Most will fail to get up despite numerous tries. They get near the top of the hill and the speed bump stops their momentum and they slide back down. Maybe I'll try to get up the hill just to provide my neighbors with entertainment. LOL

I hope they're wrong that it's supposed to become freezing rain overnight. That will really make things dangerous.

Rob,

We might be getting a little snow here ourselves tomorrow. It's freaking cold!!! It's been as low as 3 or 4 degrees this week and we still have nearly a foot of snow on the ground from last weekend. It does seriously mess with your walking routine!

Meg - It sure does.

The snow stopped already after only 90 minutes or so. But a quick check of weather.com says it's supposed to snow until about 9 tonight. So maybe it will start again soon. People are making it up the hill so far.

We're getting it today also. Can barely see through the snow outside. Huge flakes.
