Rob, my twins frequently get into the cat litter box. It is indeed disgusting! They usually drag it out into the hallway where I will find a trail of kitty litter. I have no clue how I can stop them from doing this. If you find a way, please let me know. Enjoy your walk with the furkids! Sounds like a beautiful day there. A little on the chilly side here this morning, but I expect it to warm up slightly. The bad thing about KC is the brutile winds that accompany fall and winter........ Have a great day my friend!

Rhonda - there may be hop. It took years to get sophie to stop going in the cat litter or "sophie's snack tray" as I used to call it. I guess it's "sandy's snack tray" now. LOL The winds are expected to be between 10 and 20 mph here but with a temp of 77 it will be bearable.

Sounds like a gorgeous day, Rob. Typical November here...dark clouds on the horizon, occasional bursts of sunlight, and then gray. Had rain and wind during the night (thankfully no horrors like the folks in Indiana) and the leaves are 'raining' now. Poor DH...spent several hours yesterday clearing the yard of one layer of leaves, and today the neighborhood is covered!! And now the leaves are wet, so can't blow them until they dry out a bit.

O gahh - cat turd - and that's one of the reasons I do not share my life with a non human Rob! (Well of course - humans do not always meet my expectations either! and I'm sure I don't always meet theirs - but then again - I don't want to be in a position again where I'm obliged to!)

Franny - Once this warm front passes through I'm counting on days such as you describe with a rapid onset of winter to follow.

Kim - Group hugging back! If i hadn't just read your journal I would have balled you out for driving in those conditions.

    Berta - Thanks!

Beach - At least i know what to expect from my non-human family. I mean the range of possibilities is so much smaller than what humans are capable of. I don't want to be in a position either where I'm obliged to.

Rob, yes, that was scary reading Kim's journal and how she was driving up and down mountains in a snow storm :(

oh rob ... don't get me started on AT&T. i had a wireless account w/ them (before they became cingular) - and i recently discovered a collections notice on my credit report for TWO DOLLARS they claimed i owed them from an old cell phone account (closed/transferred years ago)!
i almost had a heart attack!!
i had to call the *shady* collection agency directly ... they never returned my calls. luckily, i contested the mark on my credit report w/ the big three credit agencies - and it was promptly removed.

Rhonda - Yes, especially to me. I won't drive for days after a snowstorm. We dont get much snow in winter here. But after 2 days inside I get cabin fever and will drive to the store but not down a mountain. I avoid streep hills.

Carrie - You were lucky that you discovered that before it caused a problem. Somewhere over the years AT&T turned into a bunch of thieves or incompetents.

Had a nice 4 mile walk at TAnglewood yesterday. took sophie and a friend's Golden Retrieber with me. The dogs had a ball. Sebastian is one of sophie's favorite dogs, unfortunately sophie shows affection by wanting to play fight. MAkes it hard when they're on the lead. But by the end of the walk they were both very tired and much better behaved with each other and with me.

Just before we had to give up our kittens we had to move the litter boxes out of Hershey's (our Lab) reach because she would eat directly from the litter boxes. Philip doesn't like dogs, anyway, and it didn't pain him in the least to go around calling Herhsey a "crap" eater from that day on. Herhsey's getting old and any time we find something wrong physically with her, he never hesitates to say, "Welp, time to take her to the vet and put 'er down", just in ear shot of Abby, who then wails and weeps all the way upstairs and slams her bedroom door.

    Kids. Gotta love 'em.

April - That's just cruel! LOL The touble with moving the litter box out of sandy's reach is it would also be out of the cat's reach.

Kim - It is kind of early for snow even in the Idaho pot holder. lol Peopel here don't really know how to drive in snow. They don't get much practice. So I'd rather wait until at least the main and secondary roads get plowed.

Won;t be able to stay on much longer. I tripped over the telephone cord to my computer and that little tab that keeps teh cord from coming out of teh jack snapped off. So now even the slightest movement takes me offline. Will go out tomorrow and buy a new cord.

walked 7 miles at Tanglewood this afternoon. What with my trip to walmart and the grocery store and vacuuming every square foot of carpeting I'll have walked over 10 miles today.

Beach - At the end of the day the pedometer read 9.7 miles. But I wasn't wearing it for enough of the day to make up more than .3 miles. 10 miles is 16 km.
