| Kim - Having a woman to come home to was probably a huge morale booster to your Dad. Parents will fool you if you look for signs of love between them after 40 years. So much just doesn't need to be said anymore. Can't believe that your Mom's family could be so heartless. April - Oh Sandy tried my saintly patience that day for sure. There was so much dust and dog and cat hair that when i vacuumed it back up it clogged my bagless vacuum cleaner. HAd to take it apart and clean all the filters. all the while glaring at Sandy in her cage. Man 2 dogs and a fluffy cat sure do make it necessary to vacuum frequently. |

| Rob - we got one of those Animal Dyson vacumns ( I hate to vacumn) at the insistence of my son. I manage about half of a room before I have to empty the tube. By the end of the 3 rooms I generally vacumn - I have a grocery bag full of hair, that is as big as the dog is to begin with.

| I can't figure out how my animals shed so much either. I am with Mary Kay, when I vacuum each week, there is more dog/cat hair in the bag than all the animals totalled! Have to change my furnance filter each month to as it usually has dog hair attached to it. Thinking about, in my next lifetime, adopting those hairless dogs and cats! |

| Mary Kay - that's about what i have to do. empty the vacuum twice per room plus once for the stairs. so that ends up being 7 times. Huskies especially shed like hell in the spring i've heard. That will be a new experience when warm weather comes again. Rhonda - I'll go one better, I'm ready to shave my animals and buy them all sweaters. lol |

| We get balls of Hershey hair floating around the hardwood flooring -- (Hershey is our cocolate lab). They bunch up in the corners and tumble around like tumbleweeds. And that's after only a few days. It's really bad in the summertime when she sheds.

| Kim - Your parents familes aren't so different from mine. I only ever met one uncle on my mothers side. Never met any of my fathers siblings. Of course they lived in England and 2 were dead before I was born and one died when i was 5 and another when i was 16. And the one Uncle we did see was once ayear adn then only because his father (my grandfather) lived with us. Once gramps died we only saw each other at family funerals. April - People think that because you have a shorthaied dog you don;t have a big problem with shedding. NOT!!! I know from sophie (who is half lab) thatshort hairs have an under coat that sheds constantly. I take my dogs out in my car every day just about and teh hair that's over everything is 75% sophie's. I got in 2 walks yesterday, a one miler walkinga friend's dog and 5 miels with sophie and sandy. Weather is either improving or I've gotten used to walking for 90 minutes in the cold. Hope it's the latter. Good tip if you're craving something in particular - I was craving pizza yesterday big time. I was planning on having chicken thighs for dinner as that was what i defrosted the day before. So I baked them with tomato sauce under the skin and then added pizza cheese the last 8 minutes of cooking. Wasn't pizza but i no longer craved pizza after i ate. Might have had a bit too much cheese though. Broccoli with cheese was my side dish (green giant). |

| I crave pizza about once every couple of weeks. I found some meatballs in the freezer section at Walmart that are about 2 net carbs for 5 or 6 meatballs. I cook these with some LC spaghetti sauce and top with cheese. No more pizza cravings! It works for me with other things besides the meatballs, but this is really easy to make and they are cheap. Good job on the 2 walks, Rob! Its so cold here that I don't even want to go outside at all! I hope you are building up some cold tolerance.

| Katie - Also a pizza burger helps. Heck I've placed piles of mozzarella cheese on parchment paper and topped with sauce and baked in the toaster oven. (let cool a few minutes if you do this). I thought I was getting used tot he cold but yesterday I walked when it was 33 degrees out. Nearly froze to death. Walked 3 1/2 miles only yesterday but i actually jogged some (maybe 4 minutes total). |

| Way too cold and windy today to do any lengthy walking. I've decided that at least 6 days a week despite the weather I will at least do one mile. Even if I have to do it in the house. In keeping with that policy I went to a local park and walked 1 1/2 miles. I tried doing it with the dogs at first but after 20 minutes I had only gone 1/2 mile. So I put them back in the car (remembering to put teh chicken breasts and bacon in the trunk) And walked a fast mile. |

| Rob, it is fridged I think basically most places except the southern equater! I admire you for even attempting the feat of walking in this artic weather. As for me.. exercise bike or WATP for the next few months. Not even trying outdoors being a TX girl and growing up in the desert! |
