Yikes! We had an ice storm here last week, and I wouldn't let the kidlet play outside the next day because of the falling icicles (am I the only person who saw that particular Die Hard movie?). All I could see was one landing on a soft part and poking holes in my baby.

48 will be better, but still too cold for me! I hope that the mud dries up quickly and that you can get back outside soon. You always sound happier when you've been able to get your walk outside than when you're forced to mall-walk or do your tapes.

Franny - ah yes, the dreaded put your eye out warning. LOL LOve that movie!

Katie - yes, I definitely feel better when I get in my walks. 3 days now without walking now. Must get in some kind of a walk today.

Kim - We get ice storms here more than snow. Would much rather have snow. My power stayed on but many people i know were without power for a full day.

Ran out of time yesterday so had to skip my walk AGAIN. Made cauliflower mash with Brie in the morning and didn't realize how much time it would take. each head had to be cooked separately and it gets processed for a long time. But it was very good. Added cooked crisp bacon and after I baked it in the microwave i covered it in cheddar cheese for the reheating at my sister's.

The turkey came out nice and moist and my sister made the most delicious gravy. so I HAD to have mashed potatoes since that's the only thing i ever put gravy on. I may have had a few too many carbs what with the banana bread.

Rob, glad you had a nice time at your sister's. I remember a fondness for banana bread, and I am certain it would be difficult to resist.

Thank you so much for the Christmas card! It made my day brighter when I came home from work and found it in my mailbox. You are so endearing to me! It is snowing again here..... supposed to get another six inches by tomorrow..... Can you tell I am excited about that???

Have a great weekend.

The cauliflower mash with brie sounds divine. I'm thinking about making that for part of our Christmas dinner.

I hope you're able to get a walk in today

Rhonda - Glad you got the card and were happy to see it. Nothing better than a first snow! Nothing more tring than a third snow.

Katie - Yes, That marcie's caulimash is soooo good. I hope to get in some local mileage today since I'm dog sitting a friend's dog today and I WILL NOT be able to walk 3 dogs at once. All 3 together weigh close to 200 pounds.

Come on Rob....are you sure that you don't want to try walking 200 pounds of pulling dogs at once?

LOL@Tina beach and Katie - The Three Wise Guys.

I actually did end uo taking all 3 dogs for a walk this afternoon. Drove to Tanglewood and parked as close to the wilderness area as I could. So all I had to do was walk them 100 yards before I could let them off leash. It was harder than it sounds, let tme tell you. But we got in a nice 3 1/2 mile walk. My pedometer reads 5.2 miles aat the moment so With my next walk with the dogs (JUST 2 - i BROUGHT sANDY BACK HOME) I should clear 6 miles easily. might hit 7 by the time i go to bed.

Way to go, Rob!!!!

You are much braver than I am. My biggest dread in life is one of my dogs getting out of the dog run, and me trying to get them back in. Luke will come back in for food, but Daisy runs like heck and won't come back for anything. We have 30 acres of pasture behind our "yard", and I just let her go until she tires herself out.

i eat the cauliflower raw now... *L*

Katie Daisy sounds likesophie when she gets in a mood. She'll let me get three feet from her and then takes off. But I live in a condo development and i fear for her safety.

Kim - The fauxtatos are definitely worth the effort every once in a while. Just clean up as you go. I hear you on eating the whole blippin pan of them. That's why when i make them just for myself I only use half a cauliflower worth of the recipe. Don't ever worry about me in an ice storm. I live near the bottom of a pretty steep hill and if it's iced up I can't get up it. and even if I could i wouldn't.

Got back from out of town this afternoon if anyone missed me. But did grab the pooches (poochi?) and went for a 5 mile walk.
