Vickie - I am so envious of your 80 degrees. I named her splenda because she's pure white, fluffy and very sweet.

Katie - Thanks for the congrats! I am so wanting the season to be over. Not that I don't love it but it's wearing after a while.

Nita - That's such a sweet story. I could definitely see myself taking the food out of my mouth before I'd let my pets go hungry.

April -Thanks for the Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Joy O Joy. I get paid once a month with my check being deposited directly to my checking account. I wasn't due to be paid until monday but I got an early Christmas present when I checked my account online and there it was in mmy available balance. Not bad considering i had $9.51 in my checking account yesterday. Good, now I can buy a couple last minute Christmas presents.

Walked 6 miles yesterday at tanglewood park with the pups. Supposed to get into the mid 50s today and gradually get higher as the days go by. By Tuesday it might reach 59. That's a gift this time of year.

Good Morning Rob!

Glad to hear that you may be enjoying some balmy temps for the weekend. Temps here are expected to get above freezing today (38)...I just don't want all of the snow to melt before Christmas. It is the one day that I enjoy looking outside to see the white stuff...not as magical to look out and see drab brown and mud! But as soon as Christmas is over, I want it all GONE and count the days to seeing the tulips popping up.

Franny - yes, I am so looking forward to those tulips as well. I have not seen a white Christmas in about 25 years. Supposed to be about 50 degrees and rainy Christmas day.

Thanks All for the Christmas wishes! Wishing you all and your families a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

No walk yesterday because i went to walmart and finished up my Christmas shopping as well as getting the last of the ingredients I need to make 4 pans of lasagna. Had to get the organic fire roasted tomatoes at whole foods as well as the reggiano and romano cheeses. But 4 quarts of ricotta cheese and 4 pounds of mozzarella at walmart are about $8.00 cheaper than my supermarket. Usually I would have at least made the sauce by now. 4 pounds of ground chuck and a pound + of italian sausages that have to be browned will need my biggest pot. Hope even that is adequate. I NEED to get started by 8:00 this morning if I'm to get in a walk this afternoon.

Thanks Marie, Shelley, Heather!

Yes busy is right. My biggest pot suitable for making sauce (I have a 3 gallon stockpot that's too thin to cook sauce) is 6 quarts and it's now full to the brim and hard to stir without spilling. It took half an hour after I added the tomatoes just to start simmering. I wonder if I'll finish by noon? THen it goes in the refrigerator overnight so I can peel off the fat that floated tot he top. Need to find some boxes so I won't be spilling lasagna all over my car on the drive to my niece's house.

Gregg - Nice to see you. I expect we'll be seeing more of you come the New Year! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

Thanks Gee Gee and Rhonda!

I wish I could send you some lasagan Rhonda. As it is I'm not even sure how to transport the lasagana 50 miles without spilling it all over the car.

Walked 7 miles at Tanglewood yesterday in 61 degree weather!
